Re: Guns Announce Dublin Gig, Thur May 17th
another big tour without an album...unbelievable.
well not unbelievable. depressingly predictable perhaps.
what was it that was said he still "believes in CD" or something? is it still pushing CD or is it livenation or is it a fundraising trip?
outside it being in Ireland & the O2 specifically i'm not too keen on dropping 65 clams on the same set i've seen since '02 + Estranged & Civil War. but we'll see maybe, just freaking maybe, something different is cooking.
an announcement of a new record would have been more surprising/unbelievable.

"no offense..." but then you insult all Irishmen and all Americans
I'm not starting anything or offended at all myself, I just genuinely got a laugh outta that.
I'm pulling the piss. I am Irish hehe
Well American Irish
Amercian Irish are like Scottish Canadians, not even remotely Scottish.
Two very different parts of the world, with slightly different culture and livestyles.
I'd techinally be a German, French, Asian white guy living in Northern Ireland if I used the same Nat. system Amercians used.
People not born or living in a country = not from that country.

Possibly getting a tour in before the euro gets even worse.
I find it astonishing that they spent 15 million on cd and don't have another album to release without having to raise more funds.
Release cd as a double album, tour Europe then concentrate on a new album. I think everyone would be happy in this scenario.
Re: Guns Announce Dublin Gig, Thur May 17th
I'm moving to Australia for a year in July, and already have to fork out for Noel Gallagher, The Civil Wars and Tom Petty before I go but I must admit I find this tempting..the opportunity to hear "Estranged" and "Civil War" live..everyone remembers what happened at the last Dublin gig, but the night before in Belfast they were fucking phenomenal.
Re: Guns Announce Dublin Gig, Thur May 17th
The dublin gig was still pretty alright up until the whole bullshit bottle thing and to be honest the band were on fire.
Part of me is happy that I was at a GNR show where everything fell apart.
I would have been disappointed on some level if it hadn't.
Re: Guns Announce Dublin Gig, Thur May 17th
I wander whether a European tour so close to the rrhof is Axl's way of saying 'no way a reunion'.
Still kinda intrigued to see if the band have anything else planned other than touring.
They can't have done much work on writing if they're planning on going out again so soon
