Re: GN'R Twitter Updates
Absolutely awesome. Congrats to the band, and all western Canadian fans to finally have the soured memory of Vancouver 2002 behind them.
Only wished I could've been there.
Seriously most of the people I talked to that night weren't from Vancouver. Axl made amends by doing a proper Canadian tour in 2006(shitty shows in Alberta though) and in 2010(great show) but yes finally Vancouver got their show. I'm dead serious though when I say that was an international show. People from all over the fucking place for that one as it was supposed to be the FIRST NA date of an actual tour in what.... 9 years?
I sometimes think people forget Western Canada is fucking huge and really spread out. I get what you're saying about finally getting that Vancouver monkey off their backs BUT a show in Vancouver doesnt' really cater to all of Western Canada. Thats' why people in Alberta are always pissed when bands by pass Calgary and Edmonton caue you either have to fly to Vancouver or drive the 12 hours(one way). Saskatchewan has it even worse.

That's kinda what I meant. I'm sure there's gotta be a few GN'R fans up north in the mountains.
Ain't like they're going to fucking Alaska for a show.
They better head to Vancouver while they've got the chance, even if they've got to stay over.
