I honestly thik his vocals are much more highlighted here than at any point on CD. I actually would listen to this regularly. It's fresh but I'm leaning towards liking it better than anything on CD 
I think the reason why I like it is it's Axl's voice with stripped down music. It's not a cluttered mess of prodcution, samples and layers. Plus it all flows incredibly well.
And even though I think Axl's rants are often lame how cool is it to have one of HIS rants in a song
