+1...as should Marilyn Manson!!! Wouldn't that be quite induction ceremony? Don't think I'd want to be there for that one, but I'd watch from afar.

People who think Jon isn't a great frontman and isn't "Godly" need to go watch a concert. Few people can hold a crowd in the palm of their hand the way he does.

Just because u aren't a "FAN" u have to be able to keep objectivity and give him his due.

Ill put Wanted Dead Or Alive up against any song from any era. that song is legendary all time great classic, and will remain so a hundred years from now.

People talking bout last great frontman, Prince still blows All these guys off the stage.

Is Jon in the Hall before Axl? Is Bon Jovi in the Hall before Axl?

It has nothing to do with "FANS". I don't HATE Bon Jovi. It has to do with Axl > Jon. Just the way it is. Hall and music history agrees too.

So you're fighting a losing battle there man, and I think saying we're biased because we're not fans of Bon Jovi, sounds like Bon Jovi fanboy-desperate.

It just does.

Foo Fighters will probably get in at some point. I really like the Foo Fighters but I'm not so sure they've done anything that overly warrents an induction, however given this generation has very little else to go on they might be the one band that will go in and it won't be such a  farce.

Sadly at some point Green Day may get in as well.

One band that should've had the recognition to deserve getting in but never did outside of Canada is The Tragically Hip. Easily the best Canadian band ever that never made it big outside of Canada.  One could argue they are the best Canadian band ever period.

After this, they'll be able to induct the "artsy" grunge movement, and once that 3-year period after GN'R... it's fuckin' done man.

Yep, once Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, and possibly STP get in, it's fuckin' over. When they start inducting bullshit like Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, and Eminem every year, you might as well change the name of it since it's no longer the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I know there are some rap and pop artists already in there, but look at the last 15 years. It's been completely dominated by those genres while rock is deader than it's ever been.

I guess there is one positive about the future lack of worthy rock artists to be inducted. Like you said, it will force them to go back and let the passover artists in that should already be there. Just off the top of my head...

Deep Purple
KISS
Rush
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Heart
Paul Rodgers
Ronnie James Dio
Motorhead
The Cure
The Replacements
New York Dolls

I'd put The Black Crowes & Jane's Addiction in before any of those bands besides Heart & The Cure(who should already be in!, but aren't better than TBC or JA). I'd also add Blind Melon and The Ghetto Boyz as future inductees. They all rocked hard and left a lasting impression.

Jane's Addiction isn't Hall-worthy, but the Black Crowes definitely deserve to get in.

It does. Even people that hate Axl would still agree he's a much better singer and probably a better writer too. I say "probably" a better writer because Bon Jovi is much better at writing than singing, whereas Axl's writing and singing are both top notch.

Great song Neemo. I've never been a huge Hip fan either but the older I get the more I appreciate them. They are really good and I guess it just baffles me as to how we've exported so much shit music and yet The Tragically Hip's popularity seems contained to within Canada.

I canoed the Yukon river in 2008 with 3 of my buddies and I brought a mini cd player with us. I had six mixed discs and there were a lot of Hip on them. This song in particular takes me right back to the middle of nowhere on the Yukon river at night by the campfire.

It's too bad these guys never got more recognition outside of Canada. Real music, made by real people. Nothing fake about them.

Well, bon jovi have never been critically acclaimed etc. Their music isn't as deep or what have u as GNR's but If i had to choose which career I'd rather have... I think I'd take Jon's

What people don't realize and what pisses me off is, Jon obviously is doing something right to still be this huge so many years later.

The fact they survived and thrived during grunge alone, should warrant induction. no one else with that style did. Even the mighty Def Leppard got buried.
