I'm not sure. I thought it was aired live, or at least closer to the actual date than a month. Maybe HBO shows the WHOLE thing, Fuse may show an edited version. But now that you mention it, I do tend to remember watching it on Fuse or some channel in some fashion.
And I wasn't pointing out anyone specifically for arguing. We're all doing it, and we will all continue. I just get overwhelmed when I come on here and I've missed 5 pages worth of arguments that I have to sift through. The same thing is going on at HTGTH and every other GNR site I'm sure.
I, like D, am amazed at some of the comments over on HTGTH about people who will turn in their fancard if Axl gets onstage with the original 5. I mean, really? I'm a HUGE supporter of the new lineup. I love what they're doing right now (aside from apparently not working on any NEW music). And I don't want a reunion. I want this lineup to continue on and push forward. But for one night I would love to see the original guys make peace and accept the award they so deserve. I don't see the harm in that. I used to be of the opinion that it could hurt the current lineup in some way. But I've come to the realization that nothing can "hurt" this lineup, because they really have nothing TO hurt at this time. As great as they are, people just don't care about them, at least in the US. Even though they are playing great shows and winning fans over who do go out and see them, it's not enough to think a one night reunion will derail them and finish them off. I think it'll be quite seamless, transitioning back to the current lineup after the Rock Hall. People have been clamoring for a GNR reunion for 15 years now, they'll continue to do so whether Axl shows up in April or not. It won't change a thing.

Absolutely agree, man. And like I told D, there are a bunch of mutants over at HTGTH trying to get jarmo's favor by bashing the old line up. It's a cesspool over there.
I'm pretty sure the Hall will stream it live. If not they'll leak out the inductions on youtube pretty quickly. We'll definitely see it before it's shown on HBO.

If anything is read into jarmo's comments, it's that Axl might go to Hall of Fame. Assuming he knows anything about it, I don't see anthing negative with it.

Jarmo himself hasn't been negative, it's others over there who are taking things a bit to the extreme. MisterID mentioned people putting down the new band to support the old band. The opposite happens as well, and is happening quite a bit over on HTGTH. I don't get that rationale either way. I love it all, I'll take what I can get.
And Jarmo said that it's up to Axl, whatever he decides to do. Which is true, who are we to say what he should or shouldn't do? I just hope whatever he chooses to do is done so with a bit of class.
I just got off the phone with a friend who is interested in attending the ceremony, so I'll have to look into that. It's a once in a lifetime thing, right?

I just honestly can't argue about this type of thing without getting extremely angry, so i've been staying quiet.
IMO, if u think EVERYBODY who has ever been in GNR should be inducted. I don't agree but I'm not gonna argue over it. I honestly don't think anyone on CD had anything to do with GNR being in the HOF but whatever.
What I have a problem with, is so called hypocritical GNR fans, who will listen to the old bands music, Pump their fist at the concerts when new band plays the song and THEN have the audacity to say they don't wanna see the guys who created these timeless masterpieces accept the award together for what they left and their legacy.
This is OLD BAND's legacy. not the new band's.

The band took a long break starting in 1994, but in the new millennium Axl Rose brought a brand new line-up of Guns N’ Roses on the road and in 2008 they released their long-awaited album Chinese Democracy.
There ya go MisterID. "Perception is reality" even according to the RRHOF. We all know what "perception is reality" means and despite the insistane of a few hardcore fans on the internet that the facts are what matter here, the reality is the perception is what people know and believe. The band took a long break and then Axl introduced a completely new band that the world did not recognize or associate as Guns N' Roses. 8 years later they released an album that for the most part made little to no impact on the music landscape and then toured it 2 years later with yet again a new group of musicians. This is why the inclusion of any member post 1993 would ahve been ridiculous. That's all.
As for this thing that you can't buy CD in the United States that's fucking hilarious. Why not? You can pick it up in any store in Canada. Seriously.
People will roll their eyes at this comparison but whatever. I find it funny how 2.6 million copies sold world wide for a brand name like Guns N' Roses is being debated as a success by some. How on earth some of you can go round and round to justify those numbers as a success in Gn'R terms is beyond me. Especially given the fact this album had so much myth and anticipation behind it. On the flip side U2's No Line on the Horizon sold roughly 5 - 6 million copies world wide and the entire fanbase for the most part , the media and the band themselves aknowldeges it was a failure in terms of sales. There was never any spin coming from U2 fans.... sure U2 promoted it but you could always argue that Guns N' Roses had just as much promo based on the "long awaited" asspect of it, the televison ads(which U2 had none of) and the sheer curiosity of it.
So why Guns fans continue to justify 2.6 million as a success I don't get. Why can't you just call a spade a spade. It flopped in terms of sales when you consider the brand name it was attached to.

Yeah I think it's unanimous that the fans do want the original ban to be involved and most of us would like to see them perform togetehr I think. Most would be happy with a simple handshake and an acceptance speach. I don't thik anyone is debating whether the old band shoudl be involved. The entire debate stems from whether or not the new era guys shoudl be involved. In my opinion NO.
Unless they are involved as the ones doing the inducting. Like I said it would be kinda cool to see Tommy up there inducting Guns N' Roses. Although maybe it'd be more appropriate to have someone who actually apprecaited Gn'R's music during the time of their world wide dominance 
What about someone like Lenny Kravitz or Steven Tyler to induct the band?
