The organization I work for once had Bono appear 'via recorded message' on a screen in front of 20,000 people during a convention. He spoke for like 5 minutes.
That sort of thing could also happen.
They don't have to be physically in the same space.

I remember that. I dont' often like to do prerecorded talks but unfortunately couldnt' be there in person and in this case I was honored just to be asked so I felt this was better than nothing.
But "what do they want"?
I don't want them playing anything together. It's bound to be out of practice and disappointing.
I doubt it. Axl has been singing the songs, Slash has been playing the songs, Duff and Izzy I'm sure being professional musicians could easily pick up on their songs where they left off. Steven I'm sure has been playing the songs as well so... I think they'd be well rehearsed to be honest. Couple soundchecks with the band and as usual Axl can show up and sing the night of. Easy.
