there's as much chance me putting a finger up jennifer anistons bum as there is GnR playing 'Going Down' on jimmy fallon..
I agree, it's a long shot at best. If it DID happen though, at least with other bands, there's ONE performance per night. Not all taped at once.

A very valid question. I'm not sure what time they tape the show. Maybe they could do the show LIVE for the week so Axl could go on after midnight, just how he likes it.
If they tape the show at 2pm everyday though, yeah that could be an issue.

I gurantee you NBC Studios and the "Late Night" crew are not gonna alter how they do things for Axl's whims. He's just not that big of a star anymore. Unless Fallon can go to brass and convince them that Rose would be a ratings score, but I doubt they'd care at 12:35am ET. Advertising is already bought in advance.
If Axl wants to do it, he's gonna have to agree to come in at 2pm and perform it. Even if he's in sweatpants and crocs.

NBC is planning some sort of joint-deal with Guns N' Roses to perform live via satellite on the New Year's Show from Vegas, while they cover New Year's in NYC.
And Jimmy Fallon will host.
Only problem with that is, GNR won't be playing until 3am or so eastern. It'd work for the west coast, but the new year would already be hours old on the east coast.

The only thing your missing is people are correlating this to Fernando's tweet about "good news" or something like that at the same time DJ did this.
But I agree with you. Nothing has really moved on this in the last couple days, so I don't think it's anything other than a fluke.
