Yeah I taped the show last night too and there was no DJ.  Sounded like they filmed something with DJ for a Christmas theme, which will probably air sometime in the coming weeks.  DJ tweeted Jimmy about hoping to see him in Vegas.  I'm sure Fallon is on vacation at the time so maybe he was invited to check out GNR.  The band has tweeted to and relating to Jimmy quite a bit over the past couple of months, and now DJ seems to be in with him in some capacity.

How great would it be to have a GNR week on Fallon somewhere down the line?  I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but just for fun.  IF they did do something like that, and they performed ONE song each night, what five songs would you like to see them perform?

I'd go with these five, in terms of what they've been playing on tour and pushing CD, as crazy as that may sound.

Monday - Chinese Democracy
Tuesday - Welcome to the Jungle
Wednesday - Better
Thursday - This I Love
Friday - Paradise City

Actually what would make more sense is doing that whole week, and dropping CD, and playing Going Down (assuming it's a new song). Then using Fallon's show to announce the next album.

I know that's looking WAY FAR ahead, but that would be THE BEST form of promo they could do at this point. Pushes a 'lil CD, a 'lil old Guns, and a 'lil new stuff with DJ up front (hopefully).

It gives an image of a band united, with the frontman and his main guitarist.

Monday - Welcome To The Jungle
Tuesday - Better
Wednesday - This I Love
Thursday - Going Down
Friday - Paradise City

Three back-to-back-to-back nights of new stuff, but at the same time shows some distance from the old band. Plus, everyone of those songs other than Going Down & Paradise City assumingly, showcase Axl strong vocally, especially Jungle & This I Love. Nothing would put them over more than Axl coming in there and nailing Jungle and nailing his big gun November Rain-styled ballad from CD.

If Axl goes in their and sings in that clean vocal on Sweet Child or Patience... it'll be another headline grabbing day after of, "fat out of breath Axl Rose train wrecks on Jimmy Fallon".

Fuck Sweet Child. Stick to stuff that you're still singing like in your prime on TV.

Yeah, Jimmy has been known to devote entire weeks to bands.  He's had Pink Floyd week, Rolling Stones week, Bruce Springsteen, I think he may have had Pearl Jam in for an entire week.  So IF he could get Guns on, I'm sure he'd push to have them on for the full week, seeing as how he's a pretty big fan.  It's wishful thinking, but I like your lineup of songs.  That would be fantastic.

the whole week's performance's would be recorded during the one set & then shown across the 5 nights, right?

still it'll never happen
there's as much chance me putting a finger up jennifer anistons bum as there is GnR playing 'Going Down' on jimmy fallon..
