Re: Slash To Guest On VH1's 'That Metal Show'
Got this link from htgth and it seems to work for me:

Haven't watched all of it yet, but these guys almost come off as Wayne's World style embarrassing at times. I agreed on all the stuff about the RNRHOF though, and what bands have been snubbed.

There's no way UYI1 is heavier than UYI2. Did those guys even listen to those albums?
UYI2 is filled with piano, and aside from November Rain, UYI1 is mostly guitar rockers, which is also why it's my favourite.

Awful interview, those 3 talked more than Slash. That Hall Of Fame question, why ask if you're not going to wait for a reply?
Re: Slash To Guest On VH1's 'That Metal Show'
I don't get it. These guys used to do actually decent interviews. The Axl & Slash interviews were fucking terrible.
It's like they have a show, just to hear themselves beat off to the sound of their own voice being metal geeks.
Eddie talked about how there's more to the Axl interview, but I don't believe him. I think they conducted a shit interview, simplified because NONE of them are actual GN'R fans, Slash or Axl, then thought they'd pass these turds off to the GN'R fans who've known all this stuff 8,000 times over.
It's been over 20 years since the UYI albums... I guess none of us are ever gonna get the real story about how they all feel about those albums. They just wanna suck AFD's dick over and over and over.

Re: Slash To Guest On VH1's 'That Metal Show'
I'm not minding the slash interview TBH....I thought the Axl one has handled worse because it's so rare for Axl to give an interview.
Like the dude only answers questions every 5 years or whatever so it's like you better have the fucking questions ready and be good to ask what we want to know.
Slash on the other hand is always answering shit so it's kinda like asking him some funish stuff doesn't really matter because you know he'll be back answering serious stuff in guitar world or whatever next weekend....
There's something about the geek nature of these conversations that I actually kind of like. Especially with slash cos it's nice to get a more natural answer from him than his usual guarded responses to stuff.
Know what I mean - like for better or worse - Axl always seems to tell the truth - or what he sees as truth at least - while Slash is more likely to give a dimplomatic answer to a difficult question. So it's sort of fun to see slash just be a little more casual...
I guess what I mean is. I saw the Axl interview as a need for journalism - because there's so much about Axl thats unknown. But in slash's case most stuff is on the record...so it's ok to have the interview just be kind of entertaimment rather than journalism as such...and I found this to be a good watch with my breakfest!
