at every band member interview now the extra material on cd is bought up. I'm quite surprised how they talk about it so openly after the debacle that was the cd release.
I get the impression that the band are placing some light pressure either on Axl or the record company to get on with another record. Fair dues to tommy as well for saying some of the new material written should be canned - a more honest approach.
Re: tommy interview
Stinson says that there’s “a bunch” of GNR material written and still waiting to be recorded — “some of it worthy of finishing, some of it probably not” — in addition to 22 songs recorded during the “Chinese Democracy” process that were not included on the album.
22 songs not included on CD, in addition to the vault.....
Anybody ever wonder why anytime the subject of the album comes up... we get an entirely different number? Since fuckin' 1999?
Either way, i'd love if they had TWO finished albums waiting, and then the vault on top to be finished.
Re: tommy interview
"When I asked bassist Tommy Stinson about the likelihood of a Replacements reunion, his answer killed two bands with one stone: “About as likely as a f---in’ Guns reunion."
Re: tommy interview
Like everyone else, I'd like to have any kind of new material. If I had a choice though, I'd take the best of those 22 “Chinese Democracy”-era tracks, and put out a Part II as soon as possible. Then they could start fresh on the DJ material in a couple years.
