It seems to me that there was a point where Axl was moving with the times. DAW software back in 93 like protools is a massive step forward for a rock guy in the grunge era. Take a look around today. All music is done on pro tools.
He was on point there. Who knows what the story would be if the rest had gone with it

Yeah, fair call he was ahead of his time in a lot of ways.
I'm one of the people who enjoys OMG and My World too....not the same as "classic" gnr but still awesome.
I see it as like when a painter does a sculpture...different medium...still a good artist.
Bottom line is Axl and Slash are both very talented dudes.

My World is a piss take, but Oh My God is the best rocker, short of Better, to come out of the CD era.
Lyrically its amazing. Silkworms is also massively underrated. Some people completely forget about that song now being it's been a decade since it was performed live.
