Yeah, they're giving us peanuts, but Axl really comes off cool here.

Can't wait for the whole thing. When is it?

I'm real interested to hear what Axl thinks of CD so many years after...and hopefully some tidbit about future plans...although Eddie seems to be stressing he was zombie by the time he met with Axl so nothing happened.

Yeah I got a little worried there when Eddie said that.

If they were practically falling asleep and basically did a generic interview with Axl, that would suck.

Yet on the other than, DJ was there with them, and Jim claimed they got TWO HOURS with Axl.

So why the hell are we only getting one? Maybe one hour was just them bullshitting after the initial interview, taking pictures, talking shop privately?

If Axl's been "late" for not only the past 25 years, but late to Monday night's show, Tuesday night's show, and you have tickets to Wednesday night's show and get pissed when midnight rolls around ... get a fucking grip or don't buy a ticket. I'm so, so, so sick of hearing about the late start times. You know he's always late. You know he may not show up. Quite frankly, going to a show where he doesn't show up would probably be more of a memory to you and everyone else in the crowd than if he actually did show up anyway. So please, let's all just drop the late start bullshit. You roll the dice when you buy a ticket to a GN'F'nR's show. Just because Axl's fanbase has predominantly become over-privileged, whiney, middle aged sellout dipshits who need to have their Hyundai in the driveway by 9 PM to get the kids in bed doesn't require Axl Rose, the last standing Rock Star, to "grow up" with you.

That's not an attack on anyone who's posted in this thread, and more of my commentary on the running topic of late starts. It's a topic that's been played out like a fucking Jheri curl for the past 15 years at least.

And in his personal life maybe he's just that. But this is Guns N' Fuckin' Roses, not Coldplay. I'm not trying to be arrogant about something like this, but I really strongly believe that people take the matter of the band's (man's) late arrivals a little too personally and seriously. If someone's been consistently "late" for 25 years, at what point do we stop considering it a late arrival and logically figure "If Axl's waited till about midnight to make an appearance at the last dozen or so gigs on this leg of the tour, it would stand to reason that the pattern should continue here tonight. Therefore, I shouldn't expect the man to break several decades of 'bad habits' and arrogantly believe that tonight, for me and my show, he'll show up promptly at 8."

Think about it. I'm not trying to disrespect anyone, but the argument's jumped the shark. Even if it held water in '02 or '06, in 2011 you should know exactly what you're signing up for when you plop your ticket money down on the counter. Let's stop kidding ourselves.

I'm a middle aged dipshit, i've put up with countless no/late starts.

The only that infuriated me was Reading, where the plug was pulled and we got shortchanged.

i agree that you just have to accept the lateness. two things drive me crazy though....

1. he's NOT always late. there have been a few situations where he has come on at 10. so it makes it tough to plan for because you have to be there in case he comes on at 9:45.
2. some venues are very strict about it so they end up getting a show that is not up to par with what the band probably wanted to do (Reading, Dallas).
i also wonder if this is what caused the cancellation in philly - he was about 30 minutes away....who know, he may have been planning to go on at midnight but the venue pulled the plug.
