Re: Jim Florentine of VH1 interviews Axl!!
Sorry if this was posted or discussed or known, but I haven't seen it. Anyway, Jim Florentine was on a local radio show. I missed the beginning but they were talking about a show on VH1. They asked him how he got to interview Axl?? and he said it was set up thru his mgmt, but apparently they didn't want to tell Axl before the show. So he had a little trouble confirming he was supposed to do it (told he left, wasn't around anymore etc). Finally a mgr got him & brought him over. He (Jim) didn't divulge much except to say a he was pretty open & accomodating. Jim didn't ask certain questions (Slash) because he was afraid the interview would end however Axl did bring up Slash on his own when discussing early on stuff & meeting. Also when asked about the HOF Axl said he didn't care too much about it, but did say "Well we'll see who shows up & who doesn't?". The show airs on VH1 next Friday I believe. Here is a link to the podcast, I'm trying to download it, but can't seem to. It took place around 8am which I'm guessing is about 2 hours into it, although I think they take out commercials & songs. I'll update if I find the spot.

Also, please not jokes or comments about the DJ's or their lack of knowledge about GnR nowadays, it only shows the irrelevancy of this incarnation of the band, not their lack of knowledge or doucheness.
I found it in the podcast, it's a little less than halfway in. About 45% of the way in.

Yeah, we've been talking about that all week. It's going to be on That Metal Show on 11/11 VH1 Classic. Cool stuff. Nice bit about the HOF, though.
