If Axl finally gets that and decides to dig deep and blow a hole in the US with this tour, he may just win the day with this new band.

you may well be right. I am accused of being negative towards the new band, so I'm trying to be upbeat!
You know yourself though...one big radio hit and some great gigs he can get back so much of what he lost..
problem with Axl is that its all good today and then he melts down and the whole thing is running on fumes again..

You know yourself though...one big radio hit and some great gigs he can get back so much of what he lost..
I don't think so. He was considered a cultural icon back in the day, cool enough and charismatic enough to get away with being an asshole. But when you look at what has happened over the last 15 years, he is a laughing stock for a vast majority of the public. Even if he still can sing his ass off, they don't care. He has no else to blame for digging himself into such a big PR hole.

Its going well because people love those fucking songs and they just want to hear Axl sing them. On the way to the show last night with my cousin and 2 friends, they asked, "Did Guns N Roses just reunite", then after I told them the deal I get, "dude, what the fuck, Slash won't be here?".... Its the songs, that is why people went. And in songs, I am not talking about songs from CD, but, the album being out did help.... Its a nostalgia thing.

You may forget how many people though he was an asshole back in his prime as well. People loathed him back then.

I disagree. The resentment has always been there. It may be amplified somewhat today, but not to a great deal, because of the change in band membership (among other things).

Correct me if I am wrong, but it just seems this tour has done better than any other GNR Tour since new lineups started...
So why does it seem, the crowds are way more into this band now??
Or have they always been and I am just now realizing it??
didn't read any comments...but Axl is in and playing hard. Crowd size is still the same but the shows are better because Axl acts like he really cares and is having fun.
