Really shocking where things are at right now. A couple weeks ago I questioned what GNR's future was. A week later... suddenly we have something to actually hold onto again... only in the nick of time.

"in the nick of time" - i understood perfectly what axlin means, maybe you don't.
he used the royal 'we' when he's actually just caught up w the rest of us. he's alarmist emotional & thinks the rest of the world means jack shit.

You cannot be serious.

I assumed he meant "we" as in "GN'R fans".

yea he did mean that. my point is he shouldn't have said that. i am serious. you are misunderstanding then misspeaking.

we've had something to hold on to for ages, forever actually. & not "just in the nick of time".
because one previously disillusioned message board user had a good time @ a gnr gig suddenly there's a light @ the end of the tunnel for EVERYONE?! wtf is that all about?! how does axlin's experience equate to a universal hope?!

why do we/GnR fans have something to hold on to now that we didn't have to hold on to last week?
what makes axlin's word so damn special, huh?
tell me, please. or get off my back.
is this all because i suggested trunk isn't gonna press axl in the interview lol??

Here's why I'm skeptical about as reuinion peformance at HOR.

Slash WILL go.

Public will not tollerate slash WATCHING gnr play - unless he's watching a full on external band tribute him - but watching DJ play jungle from the audience? No. Audience wont hack that.

So if a GNR plays and Slash is there - slash has to play.

So that makes the question - will a GNR play - Will Axl want to peform with Slash? If Axl did peform with Slash what will that do to the public legitimacy he's currently working at bringing a slashless GNR?

Seems to me logical thing then is for Axl not to peform.

Which means you'll either get Slash and co playing without Axl....

(- but they hesitate to do this ususally so as not to jepodise future reunions and anger Axl - look at how they avoided steven's birthday party gig that time - but maybe they will on the basis thay they accept if axl doesn't reunite for HOF then he never will)....

or you will get none of them peforming - under the excuse that someone awesome has been obtained to provide a tribute for them.

What is "all this"?

We, as GN'R fans, we're all on every board (myself included) making like it was the end of times during and after Rio. Everyone was running around posting like the band was over.

Then a string of very successful Latin American and Mexican dates followed by a super kick off to the US Tour and the Trunk interview have a lot of "us" hopefully where we weren't last week. That's how it reads across all of the major forums.

So it's not Axlin's word, it's the general view of GN'R fans who wanted something to be positive about and now have it. Those who were looking for something to be negative about can still call all of this negative, so it works out for them too.

And if by "all this" you mean, my stepping in when you insult another member, as a moderator, that's part of my job. So when I see a user directly stereotype another user based on where they're from, I feel the need to say something.

FUCKING HELL!
where did i say "all this" in my post?
AGAIN, for the second time running you've misquoted & mis-read my post before replying (or maybe third time - & it's something i've noticed happening before to, fwiw)

NO NO NO NO NO - not eveyone was running round like the band was over.

if people couldn't find positives before this week then they are simply idiotic.

i didn't directly stereotype. i can see why you thought i did, but i didn't. you can be anywhere, any nationality & still have an isolationist viewpoint. merely the fact that axlin is american doesn't make it racist. how can you defend him & accuse me when shit was going good with GnR but he chose to ignore that because it wasn't occurring in his own backyard. but suddenly GnR play 3 good shows on USA soil & they've turned the corner?! FUCKING HELL!

you are getting away from my original point, in trying to blame me for being incendiary & racist whenever it's all in axlin's post. why don't you try re-reading it & try to understand where i'm coming from?!
HE questioned what GnR's future was, but at the end he says WE all have something to hold on to. how does that work out?! the only explanation is the one i offered, and tho it doesn't paint a pretty picture it's pretty fucking accurate & otm.
