Re: Duff kicks out heckler over Cobain comments
Video footage of a middle-aged man heckling Duff McKagan (VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES, DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED) about NIRVANA star Kurt Cobain's last days during Duff's interview and book-signing appearance this past Friday, October 21 at Seattle University in Seattle, Washington can be seen below.
Seventeen years ago, Cobain took his own life. There have long been reports that McKagan was one of the last people to see the rocker when they wound up on the same flight to Seattle together. VH1 Radio Networks' Dave Basner asked Duff earlier this year if that was the case. "It is true. We did," he replied. "We talked. We were both sort of in the same boat. A couple guys recognizing where each other was at. It's no fun being that completely and utterly addicted. And then we get off at Sea-Tac Airport and it's like, there's a mass rush of people, and all the sudden because it's like him from a big band and me from a big band and all the sudden everybody just stopped and stared at us. Maybe I just remember it this way but everyone just stopped and we were like, 'Okay… where do we go with this thing?' But I went to baggage claim and that was it."
Cobain's body was discovered on April 8, 1994 by an electrician who arrived at Kurt's home to install a security system. The rocker had been lying there for days after having shot himself.
A suicide note was found at the scene, addressed to Kurt's childhood imaginary friend, "Boddah," that said, paraphrasing, "I haven't felt the excitement of listening to as well as creating music, along with really writing… for too many years now."

obviously he is some kind of deranged Cobain fan that is trying to prove a point for or against that Courtney had him killed... "was he in a depressed state or not?" he's definately trying to insinuate one side of the argument or another
Re: Duff kicks out heckler over Cobain comments
The former Guns n’Roses bassist is believed to be one of the last people who saw the Nirvana frontman alive before he took his own life.
The pair were on a flight from Los Angeles to Seattle a few days before Cobain’s suicide – but McKagan says they were both in their own personal hell and failed to meaningfully communicate.
They came close to talking at the airport’s baggage reclaim area, but the moment passed, McKagan reported.
On Friday a middle-aged man was unsatisfied with the bassist’s answer to his question about Cobain during a book-signing appearance, and refused to sit down when asked.
Instead he approached the stage carrying a video camera and demanded to know: “Was he depressed on the airline flight? Was he despondent? Was he in despair?
“You never seem to be telling the truth.”
As other audience members called on him to “get out” and said, “It’s somebody else’s turn,” the man was surrounded by event personnel. He began to protest about “intellectual freedom” to be told: “You’re not an intellectual” by someone in the crowd.
Eventually he became aggressive and shouted: “Get your hands off of me before I knock your ass down, motherfucker.”
At that point McKagan shouted: “Get the fuck out of here, motherfucker,” and came off the stage to personally eject the man. He then returned to appreciative applause.
Last year the bassist revealed how he’d never properly dealt with his emotions over the last meeting with Cobain.
He wrote in his Seattle Weekly column: “We were both fucked-up. We talked, but not in depth. I was in my hell, and he in his, and this we both seemed to understand.
“When we arrived in Seattle and went to baggage claim, the thought crossed my mind to invite him over to my house then and there. I had a real sense that he was lonely and alone that night. I felt the same way. There was a mad rush of people there in public. I was in a big rock band, and he was in a big rock band. We were standing next to each other. Lots of people stopped to gawk. I lost my train of thought for a minute, and Kurt said good-bye and left to his waiting town car. His new house was right down the street from my new house.
“I received a call from my manager two days later that Kurt had died.”

Imagine if this was Axl..
he'd probably have flipped out and tried to fight the guy and gotten beat up Nah just kidding. I wouldn't see Axl having much problem with this goof.
I really don't think Axl would react the way many people think he would if a guy was being aggressive towards him. Axl seems to pick his spots nicely. Not saying this si where you were going with this but I've never bought into the hype that Axl could kick the crap out of Anderson Silva let alone fight his way out of a paper bag. He's always come off to me as a guy who acts tough but if ever put in a position where he actually had to throw down with someone he'd get stomped. Not to be disrespectful but he reminds me of the little runt you see mouthing off in bars, who wants to fight everyone yet never actually fights anyone and in the rare instance he does, he ends up getting his ass kicked, bleeding all over the place yet continues to challenege everyone to fight. Little big man syndrom
Duff on the other hand I think is likely a guy who can handle his own pretty damn well. You could hear it when he told the guy to beat it that he was serious, not just screaming to hear himself scream ala Axl.
Sorry long rant. But yes this situation would be interesting with Axl.
I thought Duff handled this extremely well.

Back in the day, Axl probably was a crazy mother fucker that would fight to death, like Mike Tyson. Now he is rich and bloated, like Mike Tyson.
I think Slash could throw down, he is pretty fucking big now from working out, as is Duff. Slash's arms have gotten huge. Sorum is pretty stout too. Weiland total pussy.
Re: Duff kicks out heckler over Cobain comments
Slash could NEVER throw down anybody. It's not about muscels, it's about will. Slash would take any option besides fighting any day. Most people are like him.
Axl on the other hand has never backed down from a challenge far as we know. Guy simply doesn't give a fuck, and that'll take you a loong way. Pesci in Goodfellas anyone? I know a guy like that, 5.6 tall he can take down 3 or 4 normal sized guys just through intimidation. Most people will be extremely fearful of taking on a guy that could potentially kill you, no matter the difference in size.
