Re: Guns N' Roses Vinyl LPs
WOO HOO! I just got Live Era sealed for a GREAT price on eBay!
GN'R vinyl collection = complete!
You gonna listen to it?
I'd love to know how it sounds. Got back into Live Era and I remembered how much it clipped/how much it was mastered really LOUD.
Re: Guns N' Roses Vinyl LPs
I noticed amazon.com only had 1 copy left of the 2010 version of chinese democracy on vinyl, so I decided to buy it. I ended up buyin the 2010 CD on a different site as well as I think it's funny that not only is the Best Buy version out of print, but the 2010 version is out of print now too. I know the only difference is the barcode, but I thought they would be funny to have. Got the red hand version of the CD in the mail today as well.
Does anybody have the 2010 version of chinese on vinyl? Does it sound any different from the 2008 Best Buy version?
For that matter, how does the international version on vinyl sound compared to the '08 US version and 2010 US version?
Any help would be appreciated.
Same problems in audio quality with the euro version, one of the worst sounding vinyls I've ever bought. Only difference was noone outside the US reported buying vinyls that were scratched, chipped and covered in fingerprints.
Workers in either the factory or the stores must have been using the things for frisbee practice, wonder if it was all part of the "sabotage".

Re: Guns N' Roses Vinyl LPs
on march 2, 2010, chinese democracy was reissued in the united states on CD and LP. the only difference really was a different UPC to differentiate it from the 2008 best buy release. i know the 2008 vinyl pressing is considered to be notoriously shitty, so i didn't know if the 2010 vinyl pressing was any different.

Re: Guns N' Roses Vinyl LPs
Have you ever heard the live albums from other bands? They all have massive work done on them before release.
Kiss Alive! is considered a holy grail of sorts of a live album, and it's got tons of work done to it. And the more Alive albums that came out, the more and more refined they got.
I just don't see why Axl was an asshole for what he did with that album. Everybody does it.
