Wow, CD was really impressive! Ron's rhythm playing is amazing and he can play BH's solo note by note. This performance had great energy and Axl was great, too, he's got a lot better in some weeks.
KOHD was below mediocre though. It's too cheesy, I was looking for Tracy and Roberta... DJ can't handle the world's easiest chords to solo on it. Such a shame. When it wasn't bad, it was boring. Forget it, make it better, or shorten to 4 minutes, but it's more that a man can bear.

Really cool. I don't think it's the most technically proficient line-up but, it's most definitely the most cohesive one. Great performance.

Actually i'd say they are the least.
But cohesive? Yeah they are probably the most cohesive GN'R since 1993.
DJ & Ron have far more on-stage chemistry than Robin & Ron in 2006.

DJ's improvs of the Slash solos in KOHD are pretty average to bad. The stuff he plays sounds like what I doodle about with in my bedroom. Slash would improvise some killer solos in KOHD.
Almost wish they'd drop it from the set in it's current state. They should go back to the studio version format, or just drop it completely.

yer when i first seen Dj i thought look at this try hard but i thought i give him ago then he opened his month i thought this bloke is a tosses and what iv seen of his playing since rio hes nothing flash at all not for gnr standards anyway

I quite liked what I've heard from DJ outside of GN'R and I've seen/heard some playing that really impresses me that shows he has some real talent. And I like his style compared to the weirdness of Robin. But I dunno, he seems to be trying way too hard to a badass rocker, with the smoke hanging from his lip while he plays, and trying to imitate the swagger of Slash, that just comes across as way too try hard.
