Frank is hands down the BEST drummer to ever play for Guns N' Roses.
Funny I'm going right off Franks playing, its so pedestrian and unimaginative. He reminds me off Adler though, not that good technically, but pretty good a hitting things hard.

Listen to Brain's original drumming on the Chinese Democracy track, with awesome kick drums and a complex pepped up beat, then listen to Frank's uninspired standard rock drumming that replaced it....

The drumming on CD is even weaker than the guitar work. Brain is a well-respected professional, he was very good with Tom Waits, but underachieved in GN'R. Be it his fault or Axl's or Josh's.

He's really good on Rocket Queen for sure. I think I favor Brain because I like him better on pretty much every CD track I've heard him on, and I think Frank actually detracts in places (CD). But for the old stuff, you may be right about Frank.
