Seriously, if a bunch of people don't jump to conclusions and spam message boards with their theories of how this is some hidden message pointing to a secret or inevitable reunion (which of course never happens), things like this could go a long way with helping him bury the hatchet between the two.

See this is something that really bothers me about the geeks on the other boards... there is no hidden message here.
This is a really relaxed Axl (which is really fuckin' cool) just bullshitting about a story he thought was funny from the past with Slash. And you never know, you might be at a place in his head now, where it's better for him emotionally to vent about "the good times", rather than dwell on the bad. He might be past the acceptance phase of the bad times now, because it's been awhile since a Slash tell-all or a Slash lawsuit, plus Axl just hung out with Duff real cool-like last year in London.
So Axl might just be over it.
Which I think is fucking amazing news, if true.
If the RNRHOF happens, and they all go up on stage hugging and laughing, and maybe even jam a couple songs, and then NEVER share a stage again.
I'm like totally fuckin' fine with that.
Good for Axl. This is one of those real rare moments where, like Buzz said "if he was always like that, people would actually like him".

And I think I said that in another thread. Them all being cool with each other and doing the songs at RNRHOF would be win-win all around. It's a true series finale of sorts to the old days, it then rights all the wrongs and end on a happy note, gives the RNRHOF the moment they need...
AND
Heightens the value in a reunion, that they and Axl would be able to put in their back pocket for a rainy day, plus leaves Axl a full door wide open to continue on new Guns with good will.
It's a damn near perfect idea. But this is Guns N' Roses. Somebody will completely fuck it up, and other than Duff, anybody else pretty much can screw the bitch up just as equally as the others.
