Re: Where do artist get drugs when they're on tour?
Heard a story about Aerosmith in their heroin days and how they only toured the states because they didn't dare go through customs.
What about GN'R and other bands in their heyday? Do they really trust some random dealer to get them hard drugs when they travel abroad? How about Argentinian police raiding the Hotel Guns stayed in 93 and found nothing? How can they find nothing? Seems the whole band was fucked up. Hell, even the pilots.

From my understanding during the AFD tour they would sneak out what they could and ration themselves on the road. Obviously when they played in places like Amsterdam, they were able to stock up while in Europe. I don't remember the AFD tour stretching beyond a European leg. Everything else I believe was in the U.S. & Canada.
'Cause I remember Slash saying when he got back to LA after the first tour outside the states he knew he had a real problem, 'cause I believe he tried to just go without junk for that string of dates, and by the time he got back the first person he called was his connection, because he was dying to shoot up, and that he actually he was so anxious that he did way too much the first time out. Don't remember the dates tho.
Izzy & Steven were supposed to be the same way too.
As for the heyday...
By the time the UYI shows rolled around, they were so huge that most drugs i'm assuming were scored by managers (maybe), assistants, road managers (looking in Del's general direction), and probably just in-general hangers on, who would score the stuff, and if they got caught - they took the fall.
That's probably how Argentinian police knew to search. Somebody got caught and narc'ed.
I also want to say most of GN'R, whatever they had -- they used. They didn't hold much. If Slash had junk, it got used up and the evidence was gone. I also highly doubt with his amount of money that he needed to keep his equipment around. He'd just replace it if need be. Duff was a drinker, nothing illegal about that.
The rest probably did lots of coke. Axl did get busted with cocaine posession once. Axl later told a story about this on Eddie Trunk about how he and Baz would ride in Axl's limo and go up to a contact everyone in that circle knew. They'd call it "Splenda", and basically just crack the tinted windows of the limo and grab the coke. The money exchange was done earlier by their assistants, before they even got there. They'd just grab the blow and cut up and then cut out for a night on the town.
I'm sure Crockett & Tubbs could've fixed that for them, but at that point nobody wanted to bust these millionaires for a gram and a dusted mirror. They wanted the big score.
