Re: Nimrods weekend recommendations
Alice In Chains' Nutshell is my favorite song of there's, then now & forever.
That GN'R cover of Sympathy For The Devil is criminally underrated, and an ironic end to the band.
I used to not be nuts about it, prefering the Stones original, but in recent years it's grown rapidly in my ears, and I think at this point I prefer the GN'R version, just for the fact that I like how it's paced better than the Stones original.
I'd much rather hear the 2011 Guns performing a live version of Sympathy than helium Axl on AC/DC's Riff Raff.
Re: Nimrods weekend recommendations
Sympathy gets a sick amount of hate everywhere. Goes to show how much a guy like Axl can rock the boat. It's ridiculous really. Axl sings great, Slash has a killer solo and the small parts added by Paul actually strengthen the song. I love the Stones but this is better.
