Oh I don't know...maybe their attempts to discredit Slash every time they get?  Shit, I don't have to point out all the times the GnR camp has lied (or as the loyal fans say "made a mistake" or "said what they thought was true at the time") about something.  Where have you been for the past 18 years?

everyone lies and everyone tells the truth at times

the fact that axl didn't even care to talk about it or report it until after slash hung himself by running his own mouth and changing his story while was unwaivering says a lot

I never said Slash was telling the truth either.  They both put whatever spin they thought would help them most on it and the truth (as always) is somewhere in the middle.

The Axl camp reported it first, still 6 months after it had happened. Then came Slash's first and second story.

I still have a tendency to believe Axl's side of the story. Slash's story is wildely inconsistent over the years, plus the Weiland/"VR III" bullshit...

Pretty much vindicated him in my eyes.

u did not - i know

but.....

and, yes, the truth is somewhere in the middle....if 90/10 is considered the middle.

axl's side naturally hyperfocused on the extremeties of the happenings.

for example:

let's say slash showed up at axl's house, talks to axl about the weather, sports, etc (trying to be nice) and a half hour later drops a hint that he would consider maybe talking about reuniting some day soon and says weiland is not working out as well as we thought......

axl's story then becomes slash came to his house to reunite the band and weiland is a fraud.

not 100 percent detailed and missing context. but still the same idea.

slash didn't even admit he was at the house at first.

90/10 minimum

I agree. Slash kinda gave it away from the beginning. He basically lied he was ever there, then cut back and said "yeah, I was there, but no one was home". Then it became that he talked to Beta, not Axl.

That incident right there killed virtually any ounce of credibility he had left with me.
