Re: What "IF" Axl had released a solo album back in 1995
Not sure to be honest...I think there were 2 versions from Axl's camp, then Slash's denial, then a scott rebuttal, then a slash partial admittion....it's hard to see the wood from the trees in GNR land!
But I think GNR's final position was that a sober slash showed up ranting and bitching about VR.
Slash's final position was that he did actually go to the house, but did not get to see Axl and left a note that related to the lawsuits only.
In any event it's a lost opportunity to repair the relationship. Now that slash is off drugs it would be a good chance for him and axl to relate better.

i dont know axl and i think its hilarious how members on this forum regularily psychoanalyze him with there claims about this and that. hes a strange mf and a recluse and nobody other than axl himself knows what the fuck is going with him at any given moment.
all i know is what is rumored which is that, according to scott weiland, a deal for a reunited gnr was close to in place around '06 and slash showed up at axl's place that same year drunk and was sent away.
I'm not psychoanalyzing anything. It's no big secret that Axl hates Slash. Why do think it would be so easy for Slash to just pick up the phone to call him?

Well, your reply came after mine, so I thought you were.
Truth is, no-one but these guys know what really happened.
Slash was in a fucked up drug state still, so I have no doubts about his so-called VR bandmates sledging, and I do think he really tried to reach out to Axl in that visit.
I honestly think Slash and Axl should just be placed in a room together alone to have it out. There might be punches thrown, but I honestly think they'd get over it and be friends again.

Slash is a pretty buff, so he could throw a hell of a punch. But Axl is a psycho, and wouldn't back down. So my bets are on Axl
Re: What "IF" Axl had released a solo album back in 1995
tough to call...................slash is bigger, physically, but axl seems to be more of a fitness guy and, as you mentioned, is psycho. axl is more erratic and violent where slash is laid back. axl has a history of violent outbursts so is probably more comfortable fighting where slash does not. i give axl the nod but would not bet the house on him.
