Sure they mean something, it's an honor.  But it's certainly not an exact science how they choose grammy winners or who gets into the hall.  They simply make bad/wrong decisions time and again, so many people don't regard them as highly as they should.

This hall is based off of media friendly bands which GnR ain't. Slash is the rest are not (or are not asked... Gilby, lol). I also think the Van Halen debacle is still fresh in their minds as well as what Blondie pulled.

Fighting bands may equal interest but also headaches
