gnr played in rain at reading 2010 didn't they?

Rain wouldn't be a problem if it started mid-show, but they might want to wait it out until it passes.  Though I have no clue what the forecast is and if that's even a reasonable option.

why does that matter?

Jesus. The feed under the YouTube page has people complaining about GN'R not being on yet when they were scheduled FIVE MINUTES AGO and that was prior to SoaD going over and the rain.

Uh, Axl was scheduled for 12:10 AM Eastern. It's 1:15 AM Eastern right now. Even with SOAD finishing at around 12:10, the turnaround time shouldn't have been any more than 30ish minutes. But judging by that rain, I won't be surprised if the thing gets canceled. Fucking terrible luck for all of us.

Because if they're already playing and there's no lightning, it's not an issue.  At least I wouldn't think.  But if they haven't started playing yet, they might want to wait for the rain to pass.
