No, I disagree.
It's got to do with Gilby's vibe. He has that Stones-ey vibe that Izzy had.
Paul & Rich are a whole different bag. Rich has got more in common with DJ, than either of them have with the traditional GN'R.
And on that note, I do agree with you. I do have more of a fondness for a more traditional GN'R sound.
