Very cool seeing Slash, Duff, Matt and Gilby playing together. Nothing against Dave but since Izzy wasn't in VR I wish Gilby would've been. Like Smoking Guns I always liked Gilby too. I like the KOHD performance but not too keen on that singer though. Shit I have more vocal range than that dude haha!

Every fuckin' body plays it better than new Guns. This fanboyish love the geeks have for the new-era KOHD, has stunned me since 2001. The suck hasn't been worth a damn since 1993. Let Bob Dylan perform it gay. Let GN'R perform it with some balls.
Same thing goes for Paradise City. Despite me posting that Baz video in the other thread, new GN'R--PC fuckin' is terrible. Axl's good, but the band is fucking horrible, and I think it's because Fortus does the intro, and has since 2002.
The feel is horrendous and all wrong.
When Slash does it, same with KOHD... that FEEL is there. There's soul to it. Soul is non-existant with the others.
Yer am not a fan of Paradise city would be the worst song the new gnr does when it come on when am playing the 2006 rock am ring concert i skip it they play it slow then speed it up

It also was another thing that buried Axl in Slash & Duff's eyes. They were actually writing and LIKING IT with Gilby, which means we probably would've gotten the follow-up to UYI even quicker.
BOOM... Axl fires him. Doesn't ask them, doesn't care, Gilby's gone. That moment right there, was the straw breaking the camel's back with the GN'R situation at the time. Slash's resentment turned to hatred.

The ONLY Izzy-replacement, EVER worth a damn in Guns.
I liked Gilby too...although to be fair he has the benifit of appearing with a lot of the original band to help him be "worth a damn".
For example:
Axl, Slash, Duff, Matt and Richard would probably kick ass in a similar way to the UYI tour line up.
