Re: New Album
Who cares if they're old songs?
November Rain was an old song when it was released.
Somepeople write a timeless song in 5 minutes, and some people over 5 years.
I'd be up for another Chinese Democracy - a mix of Ron, Bucket, Robin, DJ and whoever writes the best part for each song.

I could care less if the songs were written 10 years ago or 10 seconds ago, as long as it's new to me, it doesn't matter.
I just don't think we'll be hearing anything new anytime soon. Releasing new material certainly doesn't seem to be a priority at the moment. Tommy spelled that out pretty clearly, but even without him, that could've been inferred. Hopefully, like he said, when the tour wraps up (at the end of the year?) they can shift their focus. I wouldn't count on anything to happen swiftly though. Talk about stating the obvious, eh?
Re: New Album
ANY new material is better than nothing at all.
I'd rather have Ron re-doing Bucket's song, than never ever hearing the song.
Umm, and in reference to Tommy's comment on the new songs live... I think they might be considering tapping that UYI vault for the anniversary.
Doubt we'll hear new stuff tho, and if we do - it'll only be a song.
Re: New Album
"may be redone"
so they are still planning on adding more shit to these 10 year old songs? It's time for the hoarders and MSL or whoever to leak whatever they got. Enough of this shit...what a bunch of idiots. The fact that it is being considered irritates me.
they're not planning anything
tommy is merely speculating & echoes what the fans have been speculating upon for the past 2 years.
absolutely nothing has changed
i don't even know why tommy cares tbpfh given how his bass was buried in the CD stew
Re: New Album
Tommy has either been cleared to talk or he is having a case of diarrehea of the mouth....
Tommy Stinson:
@mackarillo Don't worry, Chinese tour will eventually stop and new material WILL be out
FYI -- All the Tommy tweets discussed in this thread have been deleted.
Re: New Album
I like Tommy's sense of humor. Sounds like the vodka loosened his lips and he even had a back handed swipe with the "my twitter was hacked" comment.
At least he talks straight re the new music and album etc. Ensures expectations are set appropriately.
Enjoy the tour for what it is, any anything past that is a bonus.
