Well,

No-one quit last year, so the Curse of Paul Huge may have finally been lifted.

For the uniniated, Paul's 2002 departure was reverberated every two years with another member of the RIR3 lineup quitting.

Yeah, these guys seem to like being with each other.

But then again I think they've all settled down and realized its a nostagia act with no room for improvement.

It's a payday.

Axl (will still be Axl Rose with or without GN'R. In mob terms - he's a 'made guy')
DJ (has Sixx:AM to fall back on to get those creative juices out, plus I heard he's going into soundtracks/scores)
Ron (it's this or "okay class, study Chapters 2 & 3 before next class")
Richard (the definition of a session musician -- will always have a job)
Tommy (has his solo career, which like Duff -- I think he prefers)
Frank (it's this or "soup or salad, sir?")
Dizzy (he's not as far removed from Teddy Zig Zag as he thinks -- he got lucky)
Chris (he can fall back on his art, but something tells me GN'R is more lucrative)

I think GN'R finally has a homeostatic lineup, for various reasons... none of which equal us getting a new album, or frankly anything that we can buy in a store.

I hope they put some effort into this tour. Turn up on time, play a rich set list, treat the audience with respect and for god's sake do some interviews. Axl's getting too old for rebellion. It certainly looked ridiculous at Reading. I want to see passion and enthusiasm.

They don't need to release or play 'new' music to make a success of the tour, but how they perform and preset themselves may just make set them up for success or failure the next time they decide to record. IMHO

So simple but it'll never happen, we should have a sweepstake each night to guess how late they'll be.

Surely you can't keep touring the same album. Time for new GN'R to create again. Don't be a tribute band fellas.

tommy_stinson
didn't say we don't have other songs.

SoulMonster
Can you confirm dates in November as you mentioned earlier: http://bit.ly/jfdOQb ?

tommy_stinson
A LOT more dates are being talked about. I'll leave it to the big guys to announce as/when.

SoulMonster
Great news  Is it possible to release album with old unheard songs while we wait for you to record and release new stuff?

tommy_stinson
A lot of the songs we did that weren't on Chinese Democracy may be redone and put on the next album. Unsure yet.

Zzzzzzzzzz, I'll be taking out my pension before we hear any new music from this band.

Release cd songs as an album, or double album as originally planned. Or as exclusive iTunes songs. Or contact pledge music and get people to pledge and pay upfront to release the vault.

Then grab some beer get drunk and write as a band. Once you're done, set a time limit for production mixing mastering. See what happens. Have some fun!
