I didn't even realize that Mick Jones, the ONLY original member of Foreigner still in the band, was ill the night I saw them and didn't play.  Someone from Night Ranger filled in for him.  They still sounded great so it didn't really matter.  Just a little surreal to think THAT band was in name only.  Imagine GNR with Sebastian Bach fronting them, like he closed the show that one time.  Now THAT, would not be GNR.

I've never been a big Night Ranger fan either, and even moreso I never thought they "rocked".  But "Lay It On Me" has a hard edge that I didn't expect from them.

I dig melodic rock, and I just ain't into this new "amazing" album. I just ain't feeling it. Then again I never dug Night Ranger. Thx for the suggestion tho.
