An original reunion??  Holy heck Canada, US & Mexico. Like Axlin08 said, I'd find a way to go. Probably just go deeper into credit card debt but I'd make it into my vacation too.

How far is it exactly to HELL?  And when is it due to freeze over?  Whatever that distance is, I'm there.

It's not the distance that's the issue for me, it's the money. I got kids, I can't shell out $100 for a ticket to see anyone, even if it were the reunited, reincarnated Beatles.

So, considering it takes money to travel, I'd hop on the train and take the 20-minute ride into Chicago, just like I do to see Buckethead. That's it.

I'd go anywhere. I like to travel, so it'd be a reunion show and an exotic holiday for me. Excellent option.

I feel your pain dude...I'd go to downtown Atlanta. Already saw that show 7 times on the UYI tour when they were in their prime.

Yeah money is always an issue with me as well. There's just more important stuff in life.

I just don't get the old school "concert junkies" who will shell out a small fortune to see any act that comes to town, AND travel all over the region, whether it be tri-state or tri-country area to see their favorite band.

It's just too fuckin' expensive today, and frankly, rarely worth it.

With gas costing what it cost, if tickets were still $25 bucks for top-acts, it'd be a done deal. But it's $100 bucks a ticket, then you've got convience charges, then it's another $120 if someone else goes with you, then you've gotta pay $30 in gas (even if you're driving to another county or two), then you've got $10 for parking, $40 for four fuckin' beers, two each for the night, then another $10-20 bucks for food OUTSIDE the venue...

It's fuckin' costly these days.

I'm about 3-1/2ish hours from Chicago.  I'd do that for sure, but I don't know how much more, for all the reasons already stated...   But I'd do that same drive for much less too.  I'm doing it for Social D next month, and I did it for a local Chicago band The Tossers for NYE.

The one wrinkle in that would be if enough of my GNR-geek friends put a cool road trip together.

A buddy of mine wanted to do that to Palm Springs for The Big 4 when that was the only American date, but I (and everyone else he asked) wouldn't have done that.   I'd at least think harder about it for a reunited GNR... but I wouldn't end up spending $1000 or whatever just for the show.
