I always thought this was Axls way of saying sorry for being a bit of a dick sometimes or that he was admitting he'd got things wrong sometimes, he started playing it at the end of the Illusions tour I think.
Either way its just a golden example of the Axl and Slash chemistry, sublime!

GnR turn from the original's more poppier style to a pure unadulterated classic rock epic. love that cover.

It's a pretty realistic statement. I think if GN'R got back together, everyone would love to get a Rock N' Roll Train rocker and Following The River-type ballad out of them for a reunion tour... but the reality is, people just want to see the wrongs righted, and to have the greatest rock band to ever exist, up there playing their favorites.
It makes them feel like, the world is gonna kill them less as quickly as they thought. Something zen-like about it.
Yep. I was too young to enjoy GN'R in their heyday, but it would be cool if they buried the hatchet. I don't even necessarily need to see them in concert. I'd be happy if a buried hatchet means they release a bunch of stuff from their vault, like that documentary of the UYI Tour and possibly some live DVD's.

It's a crime this concert (all of them for that matter) haven't got a proper HI-DEF DVD release. People bitch about Axl not doing anything with his stuff now, think about the treasure trove of stuff he's been sitting on for years.
