Re: GNR nearly killed Duff! Excerpt from his autobiography
Thought they got on well, what did he say about Axl?
Don't have the book with me at the moment, but....
About when Piazza called in to apologize about the IRS leak, he said something like Axl acted cool with it but he (Trunk) believes Axl still holds a grudge.
And it didn't seem like he concidered new era GNR a real band.
In the section where he listed GNR members, there were no members post '93 (kinda wierd since he listed several CD-tracks as his favourites).
I'm not saying anything is "wrong" or objectively incorrect about any of it, just that some of it could possibly rub Axl the wrong way.
With that said, so far the book is great!

yea that's prob (unfortunately) the case
could do w/o any VR stuff in the book at all tbpfh
I seem to remember Duff saying in some interview regarding his book that he wouldn't rip on any individual guys. He was asked about Slash's book, and he sort of went off of that, sort of saying that wasn't his style. Don't remember the exact interview, but it wasn't long ago. There was a video of it posted here some time back.

Eddie is not the biggest new GNR supporter, although he's pretty close with Ron, so that's kind of weird. But obviously, like many, he far prefers the original lineup. In fact, he's often said he's not a fan of the UYI's, thought those were bloated. He's said he far prefers the Snakepit albums over CD, UYI's, and even VR.
And the songs he listed as his "favorites" as I remember him saying, are more "deep cuts", or songs the regular Joe wouldn't think of, trying to broaden peoples horizons.

I don't think on any level Duff's gonna slam people. He said himself that he WILL NOT do that in a recent interview.
I just think he's gonna be MORE critical of Slash and LESS critical of Axl, than any interview he's ever done.
Wait and see.
Re: GNR nearly killed Duff! Excerpt from his autobiography
there's a neat little interview & article on duff & his financial interests in todays the sunday times. the interview is in the 'money' section, the article (relating to his interview) is in the main part of the paper.
unfortunately the sunday times online you have to pay for so i can't copy & paste.
one interesting thing he does say re: Guns is that he still clears 7 figures in royalty payments every year.
aside from that it's mainly about his investments & financial background.
Re: GNR nearly killed Duff! Excerpt from his autobiography
lol and people think Axl's broke.
Axl spends a lot more than Duff does, and I highly doubt his finances are as in order as Duff's are. I've never (at least I don't think I have) said he's broke, but I don't know that he's as well off as some seem to think he is.

I wouldn't mind being a penny behind him.
