I gotta agree Neemo. I mean i'll admit the guy had to work to put himself over with me. The Slash get up, the oversaturation of his image (once again Slash-isms), and the fact he was a bit too talky, plus his initial take on the TIL solo was unimpressive.

But he got better... and better... and better. And despite his talkyness & "Swag" schtick... the guy has mad skillz. The guy can just friggin' play. He can write. He KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING AXL. Trust him.

He put himself over big with me finally, and I love the guy's playing. He's the first guy since Bucket that got me geniunely excited about future GN'R.

I still think This is Gonna Hurt is one of the best rock albums to come out so far this year. Crank this album up loud and rock the fuck out to it! 9

I agree with Axlin08 too, Axl should get into a studio now and take advantage of the situation!

Unless GN'R and/or Soundgarden surprise and drop something before the end of the year, there's a very real chance This Is Gonna Hurt will be rock album of the year.

DJ tweeted this acoustic/alternate version of "Lies of the Beautiful People" a few days back.

Doesn't sound much different than the studio cut, other than the guitars being stripped.

Doesn't really sound acoustic, just sounds like certain layers are missing.

Doesn't really seem to be a different take. imho

Still a good song tho

Funny how a band that hasn't toured for 3 years or so is still able to release videos and number one rock singles.  So it IS possible?  Unfortunately for Sixx AM, they came onto the scene 25 years too late.  While they're way more successful than Motley Crue and GNR combined THESE days, the success those 2 bands carry over from their glory days FAR outweigh that fact.

I still think GNR has the potential to reach, if not surpass, their level, but it just doesn't appear that is going to happen.  Anyway, that's my way of introducing Sixx AM's latest video.

Yeah, and that's not Axl's fault imho.

That's up to Universal, and even Axl said that Uni-North America has no intention of beating the pavement for GN'R.
