Well, if it is DUI then he can fuck off.
While I was arrested for DUI(marijuana and oxycontin) 7 years ago, I agree. It's a stupid, irresponsible thing to do. While I don't think I was too stoned to drive, it certainly fucks with your reflexes and you could be day(or in my case night) dreaming and then BAM!!....lives can be extinguished and/or ruined. Killing or maiming innocent drivers or even worse, running over a kid.
When the cop was putting the cuffs on me, I told him his time would be better spent parked outside a bar waiting to get some DUI arrests under his belt.

Whether it was a DUI or not its still sad. I never watched Jackass, they did the most stupid, bizarre things. I always wonder why people thought it was funny? What's funny about doing stunts to cause yourself harm?
Not all of the stunts caused harm. Sure, MOST of them involved some sort of pain and danger. But a few of the stunts were downright hilarious.

I've honestly been in a funk about this all day. Ryan was a great guy who I've had the pleasure of having a few beers with. If it does turn out that alcohol was a contributing factor, I will not agree with the "serves him right" mentality that's floating around right now. Everyone makes mistakes, it's a fact. I personally have a DUI. I was fortunate enough that I didn't hurt anyone, but the fact remains that I committed an act that very well could've changed someone's life. I always thought "man, I hope I don't get pulled over." After being mandated to attend MADD meetings, I can't believe I never thought "man, I hope I don't hurt anyone." After having to see firsthand what a drunk driver can do, I still don't agree with the "couldn't care less" attitude.
With all of that being said, alcohol still hasn't been proved to be the cause of the accident. Yes, there was a picture from a few hours before the accident showing Ryan with a beer in his hand, but he's also been known to be a fast driver. He's gotten tickets for reckless driving in the past. Unfortunately, whether his BAC turns out to be .06 or .150, alcohol will be what everyone blames for this incident.
Those are just my feelings on the matter.

Agreed, while driving drunk is reckless and downright stupid, I still feel for the guy, his friends, and family. Everyone does make mistakes. Not everyone dies from those mistakes. Either way it's tragic.

Sad news. Drunk or not, it's tragic and that should not effect the way he is remembered. He brought laughter to millions. I always like Ryan Dunn. Seemed like a good dude and someone I would party with. RIP indeed.
