Re: Alone: An Interview with Brooke Ellis
At the end of May, Brooke Ellis came forward with an open letter accusing former GNR drummer Steven Adler and his associates of essentially screwing him out of a book deal. Ellis is professional writer, avid music fan, and was the founder/administrator of Adler’s site for nearly a decade. His work has been featured in publications such as Classic Rock Magazine, Skinnie Magazine, Culture Magazine and for music merch retailer, Hot Topic. Ellis’s allegations leave very little to the imagination: A deal was made in which he would write Steven’s autobiography, and after submitting the initial draft, team Adler washed their hands of him and took credit for the work. The book, “My Appetite For Destruction, Sex, Drugs and Guns N’ Roses” went on to become a New York Times best seller with credit to Steven Adler and Lawrence Spagnola.

Re: Alone: An Interview with Brooke Ellis
It's an interesting story and strange how it took so long to come out. A hardcore Adler fan not only meets him but becomes a friend, runs his official site, gets the opportunity to write a book and gets fucked out of everything.
At least he realizes it went down like this based more on the hangers on around Adler and doesn't place the blame solely on Adler and personally attack him, although it was probably tempting. He seems to have very little control over what goes on. A grown man worth millions being on an allowance for years is just crazy.
This guy should have sued long before the book was published.

Easier to establish the damage now though...now that we know it's a best selling book and so on rather than just a potential hit.
Re: Alone: An Interview with Brooke Ellis
Yeah, what's the point in suing for a book that was DOA.
Plus despite the conflict, the guy probably is a fan of Adler. He doesn't want to hurt HIM. I think it's obvious he thinks Adler's beggars & hangers on are the problem.
And btw....
What kind of fucking loser do you have to be to be a beggar & hanger on of Steven Adler?!?! If you're gonna kiss ass, try to find one a little bigger and plumper than Steven Adler.

Re: Alone: An Interview with Brooke Ellis
He's a simple target I guess.....
Like if you want to hang from Axl you have to deal with Axl's unpredictabilities and unusual habbits (nocturnalism etc). Because of Adler's fall from grace he's easier to get in touch with than someone like slash....then like...he's an easy going guy...he just likes to party and talk about rock....and he's going to have AFD royalities comming in till the day he dies...he's probably an ideal mark if you want to be an asshole and befriend people for cash.
