SG starts from scratch. It would take these guys a nanosecond to finish a ten year old album

Let's not go nuts. They've been sitting on several tracks for years, that have still yet to see final versions.

I realize that and hope several of those B Side/vault tracks are rerecorded for the new album.

However, I highly doubt this new album will consist of nothing but old songs. Even if it did, they still move at a quicker pace than GNR.

I honestly believe alot of that is because there's no real "big band" experience currently in GN'R, other than Axl being the authority.

I truely believe if GN'R was the actual GN'R today, reformed with Axl, Slash, Izzy & Duff (ala SG), that they'd at least record at a UYI-pace.

In another words, they'd still be GN'R-slow, but I think it'd be faster than new GN'R pumps out stuff.
