Re: Rumored South American dates around RIR
Some dates are beginning to pop up, which would only make sense.

GN'R to play in Chile in October?
According to media reports in Chile, GN'R are playing in Santiago on October 5th. The show is scheduled to take place at the Movistar Arena, which is the same venue GN'R played at in March 2010.
The show hasn't been officially confirmed by GN'R at this point.
Tickets go on general sale on June 25th through Ticketmaster Chile.
A pre-sale will be starting on June 18th.

And GNR's tweet concerning the matter.

Brrrrr. Rumors can be so chilly sometimes. At least this WTTJ cover by @2Cellos is hot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSByjqMGtaU
Argentina?
''october will be better for everybody, a real garden of eden, and La Plata (*) a truly Paradise City
(*) La Plata is the capital city of the state of Buenos Aires, and its the city where all rumours point that GNR will be playing in october
this other site, untrustable to my eyes (no source, no definitive date, no ticket prices) claims GNR will be playing in La Plata in october too: http://www.argentinashows.com/guns-n-ro … -la-plata/

The whole "mystery" of will they or won't they is so fucking played out at this stage...
Only GN'R are dumb enough to not clue anyone in on whether these shows are actually happening a week before pre-sale starts...:ummm:
Re: Rumored South American dates around RIR
Right.
Because they should continue to play EVERYWHERE else AGAIN before the US.
Of course. I'm sorry, but 2/3 of the entire American population and at least 1/3 of the European population fucking hates Axl's guts and think this band is bullshit.
While in return, South America seems to love them.
Why perform where you are not wanted?
Since that's our attitude, then we deserve what we get. Nothing.
We don't want to have a good time at a music show. We're too busy moaning over Slash, Chinese Democracy and Axl's attitude.

Re: Rumored South American dates around RIR
A brief SA tour would make sense. They'll be rehearsed, the stuff will be there and ready, why not milk (and make happy) the SA fanatics? It'd be a good opportunity to keep the band a bit alive and functinoning for a few weeks. I'd rather support this than playing for millionaires at fashion shows.
Re: Rumored South American dates around RIR
I'm on the fence.
South America LOVES them and is probably pound-for-pound GNR's best fans overall in the world.
However, more non-U.S. shows... is -
Last time I freaked out about SA getting more shows, I looked like a douche, so i'm trying to see it from both sides.

Re: Rumored South American dates around RIR
Come on guys...rock music is like a religion in SA....those dudes need and love some GNR....let them have their moment.
Aside from that, more pragmaticly, if the band earns a lot of money overseas in a hypothetical world that would provide a cash injection to mix up a CD2 or record some tracks with DJ and so on.
Active GNR anywhere in the world can only be a good thing.
