AC/DC Planning New World Tour - May 6, 2011
Guitarist Angus Young of Australian hard rockers AC/DC has told U.K.'s The Sun that the band is already planning its next tour and is hoping to top its last world trek. "Now we're thinking, 'How can we ever better the 'Black Ice' world tour?' But we will," he claimed.

On the topic of the success of AC/DC's 2008 album "Black Ice", Young said, "We have such diehard fans, old and new. We've survived many changing fashions of music – we've outlived the lot of them."

All five members of AC/DC will attend the exclusive world premiere of AC/DC "Live At River Plate" today (Friday, May 6). The premiere will be held at London's legendary HMV Hammersmith Apollo — the U.K's largest movie screen

"Live At River Plate" is a live concert DVD documenting AC/DC's "Black Ice" world tour.

The film marks AC/DC's return to Buenos Aires.

Nearly 200,000 fans — over three sold-out shows, welcomed the band after a 13-year absence.

AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson said the band was delighted with the DVD, claiming it accurately captured their live show. "I fucking love this film" he said. "It was like I'd never seen our show before. I've seen other films [of AC/DC in concert], but not one as good as this."

Nice i'm picking that up when it comes out here (next week I think). Topping that tour will be hard...but the band still has it...so it's possible!

Excellent.

I got it the other week...pretty much what you'd expect - good representation of the black ice shows....

My only issue was the editing...sometimes they use a bit of split screen...which I always find annoying...i'd prefer just fast cuts between things if lots of stuff is happenning at once....it's worse here too cos a lot of the split screen is just the crowd going nuts - and if u edited to that shot like 5 seconds after it's not like you'd miss anything because they go nuts for the entire time prettuy much (south american fans love the band like its a religion).

That aside...definately worth a purchase if you are into Ac/Dc.

BON SCOTT Play To Open In Australia In July - May 23, 2011
According to Undercover, a play based on the life of the late AC/DC vocalist Bon Scott will open in July in Australia.

"Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be - The Story Of Bon Scott" documents the singer's story from his earliest bands through landing the vocalist position in AC/DC and the subsequent rise to international success.

The play will have a two-week residency at the Anthenaeum Theatre in Melbourne from July 12.

The show was written by Andrew Barker, who also produced "The Man In Black - The Johnny Cash Story" and "The John Denver Story - Take Me Home Country Roads".

Bon But Not Forgotten': More BON SCOTT Tribute Concert Details Revealed - May 24, 2011
Australian rockers RAISE THE FLAG have lured two ex-members of rock legends AC/DC for the first time! In a world first, they join the lineup and help Oz rock fans celebrate the world's #1 rock singer, Bon Scott, on his 65th-birthday weekend.

On the rhythm section, Simon Wright, best known for his drum work with AC/DC, UFO, DIO and who recorded on albums "Fly On The Wall", "Who Made Who", "Blow Up Your Video", along with six DIO albums, joins Mark Evans, bass man during AC/DC's rise to fame in the '70s and whose work is on albums "High Voltage", "TNT", "Let There Be Rock" and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap".

RAISE THE FLAG features guitars by ex-THE ANGELS star James Morley powering one Marshall stack and introduces Mick Adkins who drives the second Marshall stack and takes on the big task of laying down Angus solos. The pair belt out the songs in "Young" fashion and are elevated by soaring rock vocals delivered by Anthony "Skenie" Skene of another powerhouse band, THE POOR. The setlist will feature songs written, co-written or sung to fame by Bon and include many of the classic anthems Australians have taken as their own such as "Jailbreak", "Long Way To The Top", "Whole Lotta Rosie", "If You Want Blood" and will feature plenty of surprises that die-hard Bon fans will love.

The organizers state: "For the Fremantle show, as midnight rolls over, we will raise the flag to Bon for his 65th birthday and celebrate all the way through to the Gold Coast.

"Though many of these performers never met Bon, it's the legacy he left behind that these musicians admire and brings them together to remind you that he is 'Bon But Not Forgotten.'"

With an ever-changing lineup of famous Oz rockers, RAISE THE FLAG recently completed a successful tour of Western Australia performing a list of Aussie rock hits led by Dave Gleeson and Paul Woseen of THE SCREAMING JETS, and featuring Paul Wheeler on drums and dual guitar bookends Morley and Adkins for this guitar-driven salute to Australian rock 'n' roll.

"Bon But Not Forgotten" dates:

July 08 - Metropolis – Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia
July 09 - Parkwood Tavern – Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia
