I just want to add that I think its terrible that he's dead, I guess it seemd a bit calous when I started asking about ADR on the movie in the middle of all this.

Its just that i see him foremost as an actor and thus an artist...and the one thing artist's do is leave stuff behind for the rest of us. And to me the only thing worse than him dying, would be him dying and ALSO not getting to finish up what might be his greatest role.

As a batman fan too, i'm worried that Warner will mess with the film now. Like for example if Joker was killed in the movie...they could well change that to avoid possible backlash.

I don't think Nolan would let that happen to his film. I mean I don't know the terms of his contract with Warners, but I respect his vision as a filmmaker. What Proyas did with Brandon Lee's role in The Crow was classy. However, after giving it much thought and even though I've been looking forward to this movie for some time, I think it would be in the studio's best interest and out of respect ... for everyone ... if they postponed the movie to possibly a holiday release. I'm sure the cast and crew isn't in a mindset to commence post any time soon. Also, the marketing campaign has been brilliant, but might need to be changed. The "Why so serious?" poster is one of the best posters to come out of a studio movie in a long time, and the best poster of any Batman movie, but I think it's time to just make a black poster with the broken bat logo and the title. Out of respect for the family, maybe that image of Heath shouldn't be portrayed so prominently in the media.

Depends though...would be post production crew be so upset...like that's CGI people, editors and the like...they may not have known him personally...or they may take extra effort out of tribute to his last work.

Well that's true, but I was thinking more along the lines of Bale or the others coming in to loop dialogue or whatever Nolan's further involvement might be. As I understand it, Heath got all his looping done early to accomodate him going off to shoot the new Terry Gilliam flick. I mean, even going out to promote this thing now would be tough for the director and the primary cast.

Yeah true.

Its such a shame...obviously cos of the human loss...like heath was shaping up to be one of the best actors of our time - who knows what he might have done in the next 40 years....but also a shame cos from everything i've seen "The Dark Knight" is going to be truely awesome...and who knows what happens now.

^ Actually in some regards its sick but it may actually promote the film more. Like people who liked heath in anything previously will  flock to the cinema to support his final tribute kinda thing.

The body count in the prologue is pretty high and it's only 5 minutes long. And the disturbing part is he uses his own hired goons to take EACH OTHER out by promising each of them a larger piece of the pie. I have no doubt that although the blood and language won't be offensive, the Joker's actual deeds will be just as evil as Bardem's in No Country.

The prologue? Is this a short linking them or something?

The prologue is the first 5 minutes of The Dark Knight. It is shown in front of the IMAX version of I Am Legend. It was shot with IMAX cameras, so it is the very first Hollywood movie to have any part of it take up an entire IMAX screen (versus being re-sized for IMAX like I Am Legend or Spider-Man 3 or Batman Begins, etc.). There were around 4 or 5 scenes that were shot with the IMAX cameras, and the first scene was one of them. It's a bank robbery.
