Re: Chinese Democracy now $1.99
no way DDM is anywhere near best on UYI - perhaps tho it's the song that best represents the UYI's: half of it is like the best shit ever, the other half dodgy n ebarrassing as fk. one of very very best GnR/Slash solo's & some incredible lyrics but also some of the very worst lyrics on a GnR song & as mention above a messy arrangement..
overall I.R.S. is prob better.......
Re: Chinese Democracy now $1.99
UYI is instrumentally brilliant on almost every song (with a few exceptions like DC, YATF, and Yesterdays). Axl has a wide range from absolutely amazing to something a 10 year old could have written. Fortunately he was amazing much more than he was a 10 year old. It's hard to find much to pick apart instrumentally on UYI since even the bland stuff fits the song well.

shows your bias...not "brilliant" but damn solid.
Re: Chinese Democracy now $1.99
Don't Damn Me is one of the few songs in GN'R original catalog that was never performed live. It's also the only UYI I song to never be performed live. I believe Axl was asked about it's non-inclusion in the UYI sets around '92 or '93 or so, and said that he felt the studio version spoke for itself, and it didn't need to be played live, or at least something to that effect.
At least to my knowledge.
