ALTER BRIDGE Guitarist Featured On 'Rusty Cooley's Guitar Asylum TV' (Video) - Mar. 2, 2011
"Rusty Cooley's Guitar Asylum TV" episode 4 is now available online. This past weekend's guest was Mark Tremonti, founding member of ALTER BRIDGE and CREED.
"It was great to talk with my friend Rusty. I've improved many of my guitar skills by not only jamming with the guy, but watching his instructional DVDs," says Tremonti.
In segment one, Tremonti shows Cooley his guitars and his multiple guitar setups during the ALTER BRIDGE tour. Mark talks about his amp set up and other gear to achieve his "live" sound. Tremonti says, "This was a great opportunity for me to show the fans the different guitars I use during our tour. For the players, they get to see the different tunings and of course showing off my gear. Most of the interviews I do are album or song questions, so this was really cool."
In segment two, Rusty shows off his amazing Dean Xenocide eight-string. And, of course, he gives a lesson on the advantages of playing eight strings versus six. Guitar tech guru Mike Nedd helps to tighten up your electronics on your guitar the correct way.
In segment three, sitting backstage before the ALTER BRIDGE show, Tremonti shows Rusty some licks and riffs from the new "AB III" album and how to get the most from practicing and rehearsing. "Rusty pulls his eight-string out like a guy pulling out a 50-caliber machine gun out of a cereal box," Tremonti says jokingly.
Segment four is a raw look at an ALTER BRIDGE soundcheck filmed this past January at The Warehouse in Houston, Texas.

ALTER BRIDGE Performs On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' (Video) - Apr. 26, 2011
ALTER BRIDGE performed the song "Isolation" on last night's (Monday, April 25) edition of on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". The band played on Kimmel's outdoor stage, located in the heart of Hollywood, and all fans in the Los Angeles area were invited to the performance. "Isolation" was ALTER BRIDGE's first #1 single, with the band's two previous albums both having singles land at #2 ("Open Your Eyes" from their debut album, "One Day Remains"; and "Rise Today" from their critically acclaimed sophomore effort, "Blackbird").
ALTER BRIDGE has teamed up with Abbey Road Live during its current national tour run to give fans even more access to the band.
Abbey Road Live is recording select shows from ALTER BRIDGE's tour and will be offering fans the chance to purchase that night's show on a USB drive they can take home that night. The USB drive is in the shape of Mark Tremonti's PRS guitar and will feature the complete live show, various video clips of live performances and a guitar lesson from Mark himself.

ALTER BRIDGE's cross-country trek kicked off in Portland, Oregon on April 21 and will make stops in Las Vegas, Anaheim, Chicago and New York. The band has also been confirmed to play the Carolina Rebellion on May 7 in Charlotte, North Carolina as well as Rock On The Range on May 21 in Columbus, Ohio. The tour will also see the band playing in some markets for the first time in their career, including Portland, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Knoxville and Nashville. BLACK STONE CHERRY and LIKE A STORM have been tapped as openers on the headline leg of the tour.
ALTER BRIDGE's latest album, "ABIII", was self-released on Alter Bridge Recordings via EMI Label Services and debuted at #17 on The Billboard 200 chart.

ALTER BRIDGE is celebrating a victory for Fuse.TV's "The Battle of the Fans: Rock". The web site hosted a poll to see which band had the best fans and, in the end, it was the AB Nation that took home the title. The band was up against the likes of SHINEDOWN, GREEN DAY and BUCKCHERRY and took on 30 SECONDS TO MARS and LINKIN PARK in the finals. With over seven million votes cast over four weeks, ALTER BRIDGE and their fans came out the victor when all was said and done.

Finally got a hold of Alter Bridge's AB3 album, and after only one brief listen through, what a monster of an album it is.
If Slash & Myles can come up with something half as good as this for Slash's next solo album, what an album it will be!

ALTER BRIDGE RETURN WITH LONG-AWAITED NEW DISC, ‘FORTRESS’ ALBUM TO BE RELEASED SEPTEMBER 30
International rock juggernauts, ALTER BRIDGE are set to release their long-awaited fourth studio album, ‘Fortress’ on 30th September.
Three years have passed since the critically lauded ‘ABIII’ crashed into the Top 10 of the UK Album Chart, and now Myles Kennedy (vocals), Mark Tremonti (guitar), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums) return with a new collection of songs to cement their place at the top.
‘Fortress’ was recorded and produced by long-time ALTER BRIDGE producer Michael ‘Elvis’ Baskette (Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus, Trivium) at his studio in the band’s native Florida.
From the opening acoustic guitar on ‘Cry Of Achilles’ through the other 12 songs on ‘Fortress’, it is clear ALTER BRIDGE are back to underline their status as one of contemporary hard rock’s breakthrough bands. The four piece showcase some of their heaviest material ever in tracks like ‘Bleed It Dry’ and ‘Farther Than The Sun’, but also reprise their signature, softer side with songs like ‘All Ends Well’ and the epic title track ‘Fortress’. ‘Fortress’ is 13 tracks of unapologetic, searing hard rock that ALTER BRIDGE has come to be synonymous with.
“When we started pre-production on this album, we pushed ourselves harder and further than we ever have previously in order to make the most out of every individual arrangement. We wanted this album to be our most unpredictable and exciting one yet. From the early feedback we have received, it looks like we have achieved what we set out to do,” comments Tremonti.
ALTER BRIDGE kick off a fresh round of touring with a special one-off show at Orlando, Florida’s House of Blues on 4th October. The gig will be their only US show of 2013. The band then head to Europe where they will embark on an extensive headline tour through October/November, with special guests Shinedown (UK only) and Halestorm. The UK leg includes a triumphant return to London’s Wembley Arena, a venue they sold out on ‘ABIII’ and documented with the CD/DVD, ‘Alter Bridge Live At Wembley’.

ALTER BRIDGE burst onto the music scene in 2004 with the release of their gold-selling debut, One Day Remains. In 2007, the band released ‘Blackbird’, the album that established the band’s profile worldwide. The epic solo in the title track was voted “Greatest Guitar Solo Of All Time” by the UK’s Guitarist Magazine. ABIII was released in 2010 and the single ‘Isolation’ gave the band their first #1 radio single in the USA. When ALTER BRIDGE is on hiatus, singer Myles Kennedy can be found fronting Slash’s band, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. Guitarist Mark Tremonti recently released his first solo project, All I Was that saw Wolfgang Van Halen playing bass with Mark’s band on the road. Scott Phillips formed Projected with John Connolly and Vinnie Hornsby of Sevendust and released their debut in 2012.
