STONE SOUR's third album, "Audio Secrecy", has sold 159,000 copies in the United States since its September 2010 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The band's latest video, "Hesitate", was filmed on September 20, 2010 in Los Angeles with director Paul Brown (JACK WHITE/ALICIA KEYS, AVENGED SEVENFOLD, JOHN MAYER) and directing collective Beta Movement/Skulley FX.
STONE SOUR singer Corey Taylor said that "Hesitate" is one of the standout tracks on the latest STONE SOUR album for him. "It's a bittersweet song, " he said. "It's about letting go of something that you want with all your heart that you know is just gonna do nothing but damage to you. And it takes a special kind of heart and a special kind of courage to do that. And not a lot of people have that kind of courage.
"They would rather sit in a relationship for years and wallow in it because they're afraid of being alone. And this is about having the courage to say, 'You know what, I'm getting away. I'm gonna be on my own, and I'm gonna be OK.' And those first few steps are the worst, but once you get each foot in front of the other, it's a lot easier."

COREY TAYLOR Dedicates Song To 'Fallen Brother' PAUL GRAY During San Antonio Concert (Video) - Apr. 9, 2011
SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor dedicated the song "Bother" to late SLIPKNOT bassist Paul Gray during last night's (April 8) STONE SOUR concert in San Antonio, Texas on what would have been Gray's 39th birthday.
"Some of you know today is my fallen brother's birthday," Taylor solemnly told the crowd. Taylor collected himself, then added: "I wasn't sure if I was gonna say anything. But I miss him every day. So I'd like to dedicate this song to him."
Jay Nanda of the San Antonio Metal Music Examiner writes in his review of the concert, "With the stage belonging to Taylor and his guitar, the frontman went into 'Bother', pausing a couple of times to wipe tears. When it looked as if he wouldn't be able to make it through the song, the crowd uplifted him with chants of 'Corey, Corey, Corey!'"
Fan-filmed video footage of Taylor's Paul Gray song dedication and "Bother" performance can be viewed below.

COREY TAYLOR Schedules 'Seven Deadly Sins' U.K. Book-Signing Events - May 12, 2011
SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor has scheduled three exclusive U.K. events to promote and launch his new book, titled "Seven Deadly Sins - Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good". The details are as follows:
*** July 12: Relentless Garage, London
Waterstones presents "An Evening With Corey Taylor". Exclusive evening with a short acoustic set and talk about his new book. Ticket includes pre-signed copy of "Seven Deadly Sins"
*** July 13: Waterstones, Birmingham at 12:30 p.m. - Public signing of "Seven Deadly Sins" at Waterstones, 24-26 High Street, Birmingham.
*** July 13: HMV Institute, Birmingham at 7 p.m. Kerrang! will present "An Evening With Corey Taylor" featuring an acoustic set and book reading at the HMV Institute in Birmingham.
Due in the U.S. on July 12 via De Capo Press, "Seven Deadly Sins - Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good" sees Taylor speaking directly to his fans and sharing his worldview about life as a sinner. While the 256-page hardcover book is Taylor's personal story, it's also described as "a larger discussion of what it means to be seen as either a 'good' person or a 'bad' one."
Taylor told ExploreMusic in July 2010 that the book was about "how my interpretation of the seven deadly sins is basically they're not sins at all. They are human characteristics that we all share . . . And it's me making that point of you can live with these urges, you can live with these hungers and still be a good person."
Renowned for his flamboyant and disturbing stage presence, Corey has lived it all. Starting in the early '90s, Corey threw himself into the hard-drinking, hard-loving, live-for-the-moment life of a small-town Iowa hero — Corey "Fucking" Taylor! As his career went stratospheric, and he found himself rich, wanted and on the road, his behavior got more and more extreme. Everything you can think of, Corey's done it... girls, drugs, excess of every kind.
"Seven Deadly Sins" is Corey's story, told through the prism of the seven deadly sins. His years of excess eventually made him sit down and start to think about what it was to "sin" and whether "sinning" could — or should — be recast as a good rather than bad thing. Yes, Corey's hurt people, and done bad things, but if sin is what makes the man, then can it ever be wrong? This isn't a straightforward memoir, this is Corey's no-holds-barred story told through his own unique philosophy, honed through years of the craziest and most hedonistic excess in rock.

STONE SOUR Drummer ROY MAYORGA: Hospital Photo Posted Online - May 18, 2011
Cazzie Mayorga, the wife of STONE SOUR drummer Roy Mayorga, has released the first photo of her husband taken after he suffered a stroke following a gig in Des Moines, Iowa earlier this week. The picture, which can be seen below, was accompanied by the following blurb on Cazzie's Facebook page: "ROY IN HOSPITAL HE'S GONNA BE OK THANKS GUY'S XOOXXO"
STONE SOUR canceled the rest of its current tour dates after Roy was hospitalized. The band said in a statement, "It is with regret that we have decided to cancel the remaining dates on our current headline tour. Our friend and drummer, Roy Mayorga, suffered a minor stroke a couple of nights ago after our show in Des Moines. He's doing great and is expected to make a 100% recovery. We apologize to all the fans and look forward to getting back out on the road with Roy in the coming months."
The canceled STONE SOUR concerts include stops in Rapid City, South Dakota, Fargo, North Dakota, Detroit, Libertyville, Illinois, and Columbus, Ohio.
Mayorga joined STONE SOUR in 2006 after the band's previous drummer, Joel Ekman, was forced to leave the group in order to spend time with his son, who was diagnosed with brain stem cancer.
STONE SOUR bassist Shawn Economaki was forced to leave the band's current tour to deal with undisclosed "personal issues." STONE SOUR has used a replacement bassist for some recent shows.
The band's third album, "Audio Secrecy", has sold 172,000 copies in the U.S. since its September 2010 release.
STONE SOUR is not scheduled to perform again until September, when the band will appear at Brazil's Rock In Rio festival. Frontman Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root will play shows this summer with SLIPKNOT.
