Never heard that Peter Gabriel song... number 2 seems kinda high imo.

Hell MJ could've had at least 3 or 4 top 10 videos with Thriller,Beat it, Billie Jean and The Way You make Me Feel.

Really? How old are you? It was always a huge video on MTV back in the day.

My question is what is so great about the nirvana video? Its just a friggen gym and the band playing.  Just more proof how overrated nirvana is.

Hell, I can remember MTV still playing Sledgehammer every morning before I went to school, and this was in the late 90's.

Sledgehammer played in heavy roation for at least 2-3 years after it was released. Like Palmer's Addicted to Love. I can't believe no one would have never heard of it over the age of 27.

And btw, I always HATED the Black Hole Sun video.

Video was critically acclaimed back then so even if it wasn't their biggest hit, would still make these types of lists.

I never understood why Fell On Black Days vid is so underrated. The band just walks into that room, plugs in, and starts performing it live in a dark room. No lip syncing like in regular videos. Was a ballsy move and if memory serves me correct, the first time a band had ever did that(does the record still stand?)

my favorite Gnr video is SCOM....

Agreed and should have been on this list for its sheer impact. Everyone and their grandma requested it. Other than Farm Aid, the band never looked cooler than they did in this video.

I loved the song and video. Brings back tons of memories of summer 1986. His song/video Big Time was great as well.

Cool to see NR on that list.

My favourite vid is Estranged. All though it often gets slammed for being cheesy/lavish and very Axl'ish, I think it is brilliant video. Imo it really manages to portray a message of utter personal destruction.

Don't know about lip synching, but I always thought Fell On Black Days was their best video.

I also really enjoyed the Pretty Noose video and the whole 60's psychedelic vibe that was going on there. I typically enjoy videos more stripped down, and showing just the raw band.

It's the reason I enjoyed GNR's YCBM video the most. Not only was it my first exposure to GN'R, but it just showed clips of the band kicking ass live, but the big action clips from T2 conveyed that "epic" and "most dangerous band" attitude that was going on with them at that time. Before they became The Rolling Queen in '92.
