There are 100 things I would've done different were it my album. But it's not and overall, I'm happy with the album(s) I bought.

Love the (s) thrown in there. Here's a question. What are you gonna do with all those LP's since the sound quality sucks on all of 'em? It's not like CD's where you can turn them into a drink coaster. 14

i totally feel where you are coming from on that matter Dave, and i have championed that sentiment in the past, but I've come to the realization recently it doesnt matter who is/was in the band at that time ... CD was never going to have a whole song done in one take, i dont know if Axl will ever release a song like that again for that matter...he likes to tinker and tweak shit too much...and its not just him there are alot of bands anymore that need the "perfect take" but some of the best tunes ever have flawed portions that give them that extra authenticity and x factor quality

I agree and that is why I think songs like IRS for example, sound way better live than the studio version, because they are playing it in one take basically.

I don't see why a Chinese LP couldn't be used for a nice sandwich, maybe a few chips, or a snack of Oreo's.

A fan to use in the summer time.

A frisbee.

It has it's uses.

Catcher, when i heard the demo had Estranged potential. just amazing lyrics, vocal, melody, music

Get the CD version and i still am bummed. just a trainwreck how it ended up. It sounds like Ron is playing a different song, and his solo got copy and pasted onto Catcher.

Don't get me started on the clusterfuck intro, Axl's vocals being buried a long with the great piano part.

Catcher is what november rain and estranged would've been without Slash.

Bullshit. November Rain & Estranged STILL carry their power just on piano alone. Ever listen to the instrumental piano demos with Axl? They're just as beautiful.

Catcher was a prime example of Axl over-tooling a song until he FUBAR'ed it.

I've listened to the studio one, I remixed the studio one and tried it out, i've listened to it live...

Nothing compares to that '99 demo. That's 'cause Brian May is the only guitarist other than Bucket, who can be held up to Slash (Slash would say it's the other way around, hehe).

I've always wondered (and dreamed), if there's a Buckethead take on Catcher sitting in the vault somewhere.

Catcher sounds amazing just piano and Axl also thats my point.

but other guitarist would've butchered NR and Estranged just as bad.

November rain with just Slash on the twelve string guitar makes Axl's vocal sound so sad and haunting, its awesome.
I think Axl is too insecure to just leave the soul of his songs hanging out there, he dresses the shit out of them thinking more is better.
