Re: Chinese Democracy now $1.99
Now you americans have a problem.
You can either buy 59 copies of Chinese Democracy...from your local best buy...
..or buy 1 copy with the bonus t-shirt and k-ring from my local store

Is that just a fanmade cover? Never seen that before.

Not sure...don't own it cos I'd already bought CD twice when I first found it - and I couldn't bring myself to spring $120 for a t-shirt and keyring at the time.
I have seen the box in real life - and it is about vinyl size with the art work depicted there - not sure if the CD inside matches though or if it's the standard release as it was all sealed and shrinkwraped in the place I saw it.

Yeah, seems weird they wouldn't use the actual cover. Maybe they're trying to fool fans into thinking they're getting something different?

Re: Chinese Democracy now $1.99
^ yeah I think you're probably right. I got excited when I first saw it years ago...until i realised it seems to be the normal CD with a belt buckle, keyring, patch and shirt.
I'd love the shirt truth be told but the price was just insane. I mean the CD retailed here for like $27 new and then it's like $120 for thr same thing with a keyring and shirt? Little rough. Let alone now when the CD here is like $10 and $2 over where you guys are.

Re: Chinese Democracy now $1.99
Yeah sorry I should have mentioned it's not new...it's been out pretty much from about a month after the initial release...I just check up to see if it's discounted every now and then cos i want the shirt...but it's always $120 here lol..which is nuts considering the album is now $2 hahah.
Re: Chinese Democracy now $1.99
I just did a quick check on Best Buy's website for top sellers. No surprise that "Chinese Democracy" is their top selling CD for all titles under $3.99. Again, I wasn't aware they had so many CD's for so cheap. "The Best Of Great White" also checks in at $1.99. Bad Company "The Hits" is $0.99.
Anyhow, CD checks in at #20 overall on their site. So apparently the sale is helping some, though from what I can tell the sale isn't being promoted in store. No surprise there. Promotion hasn't really been a strong suit in relation to this album.
Also, the "Chinese Democracy" LP tops the overall list of top sellers beating out "Abbey Road", "Dark Side of the Moon", and "Thriller". Russ has certainly done his part on that front.
