VINCE NEIL On Most Recent DUI Charge: 'I Just Made A Mistake' - Mar. 2, 2011
MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil's new girlfriend, Alicia Jacobs, entertainment reporter at KSNV-TV, conducted an interview with Neil earlier this week about what it was like to spend 10 days in jail for a DUI charge stemming from his arrest in June 2010 after a party at the Las Vegas Hilton.
The Jacobs-Neil interview, which was broadcast on KSNV-TV in two parts — part one on February 28 and part two on March 1 — can now be seen below.
On whether he's learned anything from this experience:
Neil: "Yeah, I made the mistake of getting behind the wheel after having some cocktails. It was so easy for me not to do it; I was at a hotel, I had access to limousines, I had access to rooms — I could have just stayed at the Hilton that night, but for some reason I decided to drive home, and that was the wrong thing to do."
On people's criticism that he got away with a slap on the wrist and that his punishment should have been harsher because of past experiences: (Neil "past" includes a felony DUI in a 1984 accident that killed HANOI ROCKS drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley and injured two others, leaving at least one of them with permanent brain damage. Neil was unharmed, did 30 days in prison, 200 hours of community service, and paid millions in restitution.)
Neil: "I paid my debt to the society 27 years ago; I did what was required of me then. I was sentenced to jail, I did my time, and I paid an enormous amount of money — two and a half million. But I would have gone to prison if I didn't. So that's what I did. And so a lot of people say, yeah, I bought my way out. Well, that's not really true. Most people would have gotten two days time served and pay a $500 fine — so [they would] never do any jail time. I got 30 days. I think a lot of it was kind of based on what happened to me 25 years ago, with the accident. And I didn't do a lot of time then."
On what lesson he's learned this time that he didn't learn back in 1984:
Neil: "I was 23 years old. I just turned 50. So, really, it was almost half of my life ago. I was a kid and all of a sudden I had a lot of money, all of a sudden I had fame and I let it go to [my] head. This time I just made a mistake."
On whether there is any question in his mind that this will not happen again:
Neil: "No. It's not gonna happen again. Absolutely not."
On being released from jail five days early because he volunteered and worked the entire time he was jailed, feeding his fellow inmates three meals per day as well as custodial duties:
Neil: "The place needs vacuuming, you vacuum, you mop. The showers are actually right there by where you eat, and so you look at that and if they need cleaning, you scrub 'em out a little bit."

I'm a massive motlety fan...but I have to say sometimes I wonder if Vince realises how lucky he is.
If you drink drive and kill a person around here it'spossible to get 20 years jail.
So i mean he could have been in prision until 2004 from that night...
Think about that...everything the band did from 1984-2004 would have not happened or happened without him.
So i mean, i guess it's easy to fuck up, but when you are a millionare and walking around with a massive lucky escape like that already, it's really mind blowing that you'd ever get in a car again after drinking anything. I'd be taking car service to the damn supermarket if i was him.

You "just made a mistake" that you've made before. And last time it killed someone. Go fuck yourself.
Agreed and i'd say that whether it's Neil or anyone else.
Doesn't matter anyway, Crue (with Vince) have been a singles band since after Feelgood anyways.

INCE NEIL Splits With Girlfriend - Mar. 15, 2011
Alicia Jacobs, entertainment reporter at KSNV-TV, issued a statement on Tuesday saying that her relationship with MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil was over.
"Due to the decisions Vince continues to make, it is necessary that I end our relationship of seven months. I wish him happiness and good health," she said in the statement.
Jacobs conducted an interview with Neil late last month about what it was like for him to spend 10 days in jail for a DUI charge stemming from his arrest in June 2010 after a party at the Las Vegas Hilton.

VINCE NEIL Denies He Has Been Drinking And Driving Following Jail Stint - Mar. 23, 2011
MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil has shot down reports that he has been drinking and driving in the weeks after he served 10 days of a 15-day sentence for DUI.
According to John Katsilometes of Las Vegas Weekly's The Kats Report, Neil's car has been spotted parked prominently at the valet of a couple of the singer's favorite Las Vegas hotels, the Las Vegas Hilton and the Palms, on nights when Neil has been reportedly been seen drinking champagne by guests at both hotels.
"Insinuations of me drinking and driving are completely false," Neil told The Kats Report in a text message. When asked if he was denying that his car was seen at those hotels at the same time he was seen drinking champagne, and if he could see how that would be a concern to anyone worried about his well-being given that he'd just been released from jail for DUI, Neil told The Kats Report via another text message, "Last I heard it is not illegal to have a drink in this city. I am not on probation or under any drug and alcohol rules. I am not required to check in or submit to any type of testing. I did my time and am getting on with my life. If my car is in valet at night, the question is, is it still there in the morning? I am always provided rides home if I want or a room. Do not assume anything. I will not respond any further on this subject. I do not have to defend myself on rumors."
Neil's girlfriend Alicia Jacobs left him last week, less than a month after Neil was released from jail. Jacobs said in a statement, "Due to the decisions Vince continues to make, it is necessary that I end our relationship of seven months. I wish him happiness and good health."
Jacobs, a local TV reporter in Las Vegas, interviewed Neil when he left jail, with the singer saying that driving home drunk was "the wrong thing to do." "I made the mistake of getting behind the wheel after having some cocktails," he said. "It was so easy for me not to do it; I was at a hotel, I had access to limousines, I had access to rooms — I could have just stayed at the Hilton that night, but for some reason I decided to drive home, and that was the wrong thing to do. . . It's not gonna happen again."
Neil pled guilty in Las Vegas Justice Court in January and spent 10 days in jail, followed by another 15 days of house arrest. He also paid a $585 fine and attended DUI school and attended a victim impact panel online.
Neil failed three field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level almost three times the legal limit during his June 27, 2010 Las Vegas arrest.
Neil was convicted of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence in 1984 after he caused a car crash that killed his passenger, HANOI ROCKS drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley, and seriously injured two people in a second vehicle. He served 30 days in jail and was on probation for five years.

So in other words, "I'm Vince Neil, and it doesn't matter how many lives I destroy, i'm gonna keeping drinking and you're not gonna stop me"
Fuck you man. I hope Crue & Poison get into it on tour and Bret whoops your fat ass.
