Don’t worry if you aren’t in LA for the March 26th sale of ‘The Collection of Slash’ by Julien’s Auctions, since you can register and bid online for the dubious pleasure of owning – really – a resin dinosaur skeleton coffee table (above) gifted to the onetime Guns N’ Roses guitarist by Charlie Sheen. Slash explains here in an LA Times interview why his gear is up for sale (he and his wife Perla have just reno’d their ‘dream home’ and decided to start fresh), and will be donating the proceeds to the Los Angeles Youth Network.
Slash, who admits that his, ‘Idea of decorating is pinball machines, dinosaur models and lots of snakes!’ decided to rid their home – and storage – of a slew of the bizarre and unusual that runs from a set of brass cobra candleholders valued at $100 all the way to a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Sports Coupe, estimated to sell at around $100,000. Oh, and that Charlie Sheen coffee table? Julien’s Auction has set the estimate at an affordable $200-$400, though the glass is apparently a bit chipped.
