I liked half of VR, but then there was Scott, who put his stink on it. This band does sound quite different and I am interested for now.
Re: BBF Announced as New Lead For Pisser: Frank Ferer,Eric Toast, Anthon
Scott ruined huge amounts of potential that VR had.
He may have, in a sense that his drug problems or whatever other problems he had within the band tore them apart. But other than that, they haven't done anything without him. If he was SO bad, he shouldn't be THIS hard to replace.
And in my opinion, Scott was great for VR. And THAT is part of the reason they haven't replaced him to date.

I don't give a damn about Scott's drug issues to be honest, and personally i've always thought Slash is a major hypocrite on that. When he's doing junk, it's cool, but when anybody else is - they're a liability. What, to the band? Or to your own veins? There's a BIG difference.
Now as for Scott, I felt vocally he was limited. Sure, he kicks major ass on stuff like Sucker Train Blues, but then again - so could Duff.
I just didn't think he had the range they needed, and I think he limited them because of that. He's like a Chuck Mosley in Faith No More.
Not to mention Scott is not the greatest writer. I'd love for Axl to come in one day, totally re-write Fall To Pieces, and record it as a Guns N' Roses song with the old guys. Do it the way it was meant to be done.
As for him being THAT hard to replace... nah. They've had guys practically volunteer for that job, and based on Slash & Duff's interviews it's pretty clear - Slash wants Myles, Duff wants Corey, Duff is right, and neither are willing to budge.
